ok I got dbpro and agk to connect to my robot, and I can give my robot commands! what commands would you think is cool! I will pick a couple and try it out... If they work I will post a youtube video about your command. The program I use is called ROboticsOS (my own built software) to do cool things with just about any robot.

Reminder: my robot is a 2 wheel, no arm robot with a tilt sensor, distance sensor and with 2 encoders.

hmm, how about something that can navigate around the room with its distance sensor, and maybe it would prevent itself from going down stairs by using its tilt sensor! Tell us if it works if you try it!

that sounds good, the coolest command I have so far is to have the robot start up a minecraft server on it's integrated computer. It is fun to do at LAN parties, and then I modded minecraft so I can talk to the robot while I am in the minecraft server (using redstone), lol.

Yah, i watched your vid and that minecraft thing is sweet! Nice breadboarding skills as well. Does the robot have any actual wheels yet, or is it all just LED's? I think you specified in the vid but i dont remember... Nice work, keep it up!

lol, yea I won awards for that breadboarding... but the breadboard is the circuits of the robot. The chassis was not shown in the vid, I am getting that to work very soon. but thanks, 10 years of research and 2 years of work with over 30 major attempts... yea it is starting to pay off, lol!

edit: right now I am enabling ftp commands to it so the robot can re-update it's self every time it turns on. I was also thinking on adding an application store on it too... but for now tilt sensor and distance sensing! ohh yea I live in the states so I will be going to bed soon!

I got the tilt code and distance code done! I will wait in till tomorrow to test it out! But I was also thinking (if it can be done) I might make a mod for skyrim, so skyrim can connect to my robot. Ok you are thinking... "well how will that work?" well you just play skyrim and based on what you do in the skyrim enviornment, it will influence my robot to say or act a certain way. just a thought!

lol, ok the self destruct thing is cool, but I do not want to damage my robot. The thing about the distance sensor program is that I did not test it yet... yes I know, but I will be doing it very soon. I will also show something electronic blowing up for the self destruct command. If any of you are really in to it and know a little bit of spin code (from propeller chip from parallax.com), you can add some functions from the google code project I have... take a look:

edit:
@quik: I forgot but what does the 3D master icon mean on your post right next to your forum picture? did you win a challenge for making 3D objects... or a game?

Hmm, reverse biasing an electrolytic capacitor always produces a wonderful explosion! I might take a gander at the link in a bit

Way to keep up the motivation. 10 years huh.... I've always liked trying to play with hardware but I've never been good at it, I can't even make a electro-magnet generator light thingy

Like something where you move a magnet through a coil and a light lights up? Normally to get enough current to light an LED, you need to take a small motor, wrap string around it, then pull as hard as you can to spin the motor to a very high velocity...

Kind of. I ended up getting 2 earth magnets, a bunch of wire "might have been wrong kind..." and cardboard with a dowel. I nade a small box with the cardboard, put the dowel through the middle of the box with the magnets, and wrapped the wire around the box. That way you could spin it. didnt work though
