The Game Creators download page now links to Visual C++ 2010 Express Edition instead of 2008. Does it work with 2010 too, or is it a mistake (the link still says 2008)? If it does, how can I replace it? Do I need to uninstall darkGDK first? I'm wondering, because my compiler has issues compiling in release mode, and nobody on the forum was able to help me out with it, so this might be a solution to my problem.

I'm pretty sure that VS2010 is compatible with DGDK with some tweaking but there is also a link to download the VS2008 Express edition as well. Revisit the website and I believe you have to scroll down towards the bottom and the link is there

Any idea how to do it? Is there a tutorial? I've read The Game Creators new letter today and it says "This tutorial takes you through the process of installing DarkGDK with Microsoft Visual C++ 2010. It includes all of the required links to the software, installation and configuration." But then there is no tutorial and no link to any tutorial. Where is this tutorial exactly?

The tutorial video is there in the newsletter, right under that sentence you quoted. Maybe your ad blocker removed it? Anyway, here is the thread where that video was first posted:
