i won a DS lite and some games from Scholastic, what exactly are the recommended accessories for it? the NERF armor sounded like a good idea, but people say it smells and can break/scratch the DS. the NERF CASE sounds better, since it is a zip up case, not snap on armor. but go ahead and give suggestions!
and i was wondering how i can add to the base few hundred Kbs that the DS has in NAND Flash memory, i know about the RAM Pak, like the one on the N64, but what about other, third party memory cards. since a DS lite does not have an Micro/SD/HC card slot, i figured i would look around on here, did not find a Q/A for it, so i decided to ask it myself. i do not think that the R4 cards are what i am looking for, since they are just DS Paks you transfer emulators and such onto them via whatever the format they use. also, are there any gameboy/color emulators for the DS, or SNES/NES/N64 emulators for the DS?
does anyone know if they came out with a third party accessory to add memory through the SLOT-2?
could i transfer game saves to an R4 card or one that has an SD card slot?

I would say that if you are looking for a good card with more memory and good capabilities, you should get a SuperCard DSTWO, I have one, and I wouldn't use any other card, especially the R4. It's also the only card that can play GBA games without a gba slot. I use it to play Quake, DooM, HeXen etc when I am away from my PC. And if you want even MORE memory and hardware combined then you should combine it with a SuperCard Lite. As for accessories, I would say a nice leather case, I forgot the brand I have but it feels nice on your hands and protects the DS pretty well.

You should just try and take good care of it - I had a black DSLite, and never had a single problem with it.

One thing I would recommend, is the KorgDS10 software, or that new version that I can't remember the name of. It's great, even if you don't usually write music, it's a good way to waste an hour or so. It's probably my favorite cart.

The DS did a great job of emulating the Spectrum, but I'm not sure how much better the SNES etc emulators are, they weren't really worth bothering with back when I still had a DS.

I just have a DS case to put mine in and that's it. Don't need anything else other than games really and maybe a few screen protectors, or at least IMO. Unless you're travelling, then maybe a car charger would be handy, and some spare stylus' if you're prone to losing things, however, I've so far not managed to lose mine.

Also, if you've got pets, don't put it anywhere they can knock it off, that's how my original broke.
