Out of pure excitement, I'm telling the entire world. I just got the new Droid Razr Maxx and it's freaking amazing. I've never seen a phone run so perfectly smooth and fast. Got a pretty good deal on it, buy one get one free at $199. I've already spent about $20 on games though... might get expensive fast lol.

Just figured you all should know because I'm a happy person right now lol. I've had a couple droid phones before that broke due to water damage and what not and for the past four months I've had an old school flip phone. I almost forgot how great it is to have a smart phone lol.

Nothing will ever beat the iPhone!

Just kidding. I wish US Cellular would get Droid Razrs as they look simply incredible. I hate that Verizon has them.

On the bright side, US Cellular is getting the Galaxy S II here soon, soooo.... I do have some hope of a decent Android phone.

*sarcasm* Your blatant fanboyism never gets tiring or tedious DJ Almix, in fact, its a perfect example of how you can construct a valid argument against a certain product in a manner that doesn't resemble a 12 year old *sarcasm*

Say what you want about Apple, but their strict Human interface guidelines make the iPhone running iOS an incredibly smart purchase for the average consumer.
With an iPhone, you are guaranteed to get a consistent user friendly experience regardless of which app you are using and who developed the app. For someone who isn't so tech savvy, an iPhone is the best choice (which is the majority of people).

And iPhone is also consistent for the developers. You are either on 1 screen, or on a screen twice the size. Its really that simple and it has the knock on effect for the consumers, because they don't have to worry about compatibility issues (this is why the console market is so huge, consistency).

If you want more control over your OS, and you don't mind certain comparability issues, then an Android OS is the perfect choice.

Its as simple as that, "arguments" over specs, cost, looks etc are just immature. Its the same arguments for PS3 vs Xbox, PC vs Mac. At the end of the day, you buy the device that integrates well with you. There is no wrong choice.

And your whole "argument" on price is unfounded, I own a HTC Desire, but for the same contract price I could get my plan on an iPhone, so its an invalid "argument"

I own a HTC Desire and I own an iPad (It was given to me by my department for development).

I use my HTC Desire to make calls and send texts and I don't use my iPad for anything other than testing.

Even though iOS and Android OS are both perfectly fine operating systems, I don't find they integrate well with my work flow (hence why I don't use them).
I don't make infantile comments over the internet about how they are both crap however.

Personally, when my contract runs out I will be looking into getting a Windows Phone. I use windows as my main OS and I use my Xbox for gaming (over my PS3), so I think the way W7 Phone/W8 is bringing together these user experiences will work well for me.

*sarcasm* I love my HTC Desire. *sarcasm*

No, really. I do. Best phone I've ever had. I use it for all the Ts: Texting, Talking and Testing.

I've never really messed with an iPhone so I don't really have an opinion, although I've heard it has better apps on it.

One day a thread about android or iphone will go at least 5 posts without fan boy ignorance.... No I take that back, it will never happen.

On topic though, the Motorola Razr V3i was my favourite phone, so I would be seriously tempted to take a look at this once my contract runs out.

I think you changed the wrong 'A', mate

Your signature has been erased by a mod as it is far too big.

No it didn't. Every time a mobile thread pops up, DJ Almix just can't help himself. I was getting tired of it so I decided to try put a stop to it.

So you nay have to worry!

To be fair, he ain't the only one that does it. But you've probably heard one too many rants from me about fanboyism. So don't worry about making an innocent joke.

I used to have a Razr, it was one of the best mobiles I've ever had, it was durable and reliable as heck. Though I did replace it with a Samsung Tocco Lite and to be honest the latest in the Razr range looks mighty tempting, though I will stick with my Samsung for now. I've got an iPod Touch, so I guess my next phone should either be a Droid or a Windows 7 Mobile. But anyway, sweet on grabbing one, I'm sure you're loving it. Motorolas have always been my favourite.

The battery life is amazing, definitely. I can get about 10 straight hours of pure gaming on it. And if I were to just talk and not game on it, I wouldn't have to charge it daily, it'd easily last two days.

Figured I'd give this a little bump because of how ridiculously excited I am right now.

I have both an N64 and PSX emulator on my phone and just synced a Wii-Mote to the phone. I can play any game with remarkable accuracy and speed. I've never had so much phone with a phone in my life! Hands down one of the best purchases I've ever made lol.
At this moment, I'm playing The Legend of Dragoon which is by far my favorite PSX game of all. Though there is too much nostalgia going on right now I can't only play just one, so playing Starfox, Smash Bros, Vagrant Story, etc. Just playing it all lol.
It's absolutely crazy to me how well the emulators run and how accurate the Wii-Mote is.

And one of the best parts, it didn't cost me a penny

edit - Now I'm sure this is old news to many here, but seeing as this is my first real smart phone, this is some serious cool stuff to me.

I can't be the only one who thinks that is super awesome!!!!! This is the coolest thing I think I've ever done!
