You came across as a little timid, I think you need to be able to engage your game full on. Perhaps use a bit of wit to get a reaction out of the viewers. See Oolite's comment. If something's cool, make it sound cool, if it's ridiculous make it look ridiculous, if something is awful make it seem awful.
But, I know doing a YouTube video can be a little difficult because you kind of feel self-conscious doing it. I've tried doing a video blog and ended up hating it so much I deleted the videos and stopped. Weirdly enough, I was involved in student radio and was nominated presenter of the year for one of my shows, it's interesting how the 2 are different, but then one's recorded and the other is live. When live, if you're making a prat of yourself you can't go back.

Still, when I first started, I'm sure I was quiet and just built my confidence up to the level of banter I used to have.
I think the technique could be to engage your audience as though you're talking to them, you're showing them this new game you're playing and you want to talk to them about it, perhaps pretend there's a invisible person you're talking to.
Anyways, I hope this helps with your YouTubing endeavours.
