Hello Forum as im writing this I have tried to port forward my router
And of course it doesn't work.
I've tried to port forward it about 25 times.
I've tried two port forwarding programs. One of which costed money.
Both programs saided they forwarded.
When I go to the verison website where you go to forward even shows the rule sitting there saying it's forwarding, But yet when I do a port check or go to run a game that requries a port to be forward it says it's not forwarded.
Now this is really started to piss me off because I've wasted so much time on it.
Can anyone help?
Dont post a tutorial of a "How-to" port forward I know how. It says its being forwarded but when I go to use the port it doesn't work.
Does anyone know what the problem is?
Im running Verizon and model: GT704WG.
I really need a fix.

A - get a new router

B - Explain your issue in more detail... your issue is with FPSC... or has this changed...

I linked you to a FPSC specific thread...

Can you try to read and not just ignore?

also stop making new threads on the same issue...

Ok MrValentine,
I have been reading what you have sent me.
I read it all.
My problem Is just that I have forwarded my port 2303 UPD and TCP,
When I go to Verizon it says my ports are forwarded, BUT when I go to run a game it doesn't work.
This is not just a FPSC problem, It has happened in the past before and I never got time to fix.
So now I'm trying to find a fix, and you telling me to just repeat my self is not all that helping.

where did I ask you to repeat yourself?

and what do you mean by verizon?

your isp has nothing to do with your router XD

anyhow... I believe there is a plugin for FPSC blue something?

ahh yeah there was something recently actually... using something called like

hamada or something which creates a virtual lan over the net maybe that will help you...

searched through my emails...

here you go "Hamachi"

EDIT

Hope that helped

So if I use Hamachi would I need to port forward anything?
And would anyone else have to port forward anything?

I need to know a few more things.

1) What program are you using to connect? Is it a program made in DBP?

2) If your program was made in DBP, what plugin are you using to establish the connection?

3) Post the section of code where you create the connection (server and client side).

4) If you didn't make it in DBP, what protocol does the program use? UDP? TCP/IP?

Just trying to understand what you did so far, is the following accurate?

-> You forwarded your own port.
-> You forwarded the port on the computer you want to connect to.
-> You tried to connect to the other computer by typing in it's IP address.
-> It doesn't connect?

Then you got hamachi.

-> You installed hamachi.
-> You clicked "network" and then "create"
-> You entered your network name and pressed "OK"
-> You did installed hamachi on the other computer.
-> You clicked "network" and then "join"
-> You entered the same network name and clicked "OK"
-> It doesn't work?

Is that accurate?

I never did port forward, I know how to but im not sure why not It might be my ISP not wanting me to port forward.
Since I cant port forward I Got Hamhachi*
Which is a P2P Vpn, Which at first worked.
Then the next day I tried it again and now when people join it says, "Waiting to join". Which didn't happen the day before.
I dont know how to fix.

Your ISP can't stop you from port forwarding, its a process that happens within your local network.

they can block specific ports though, but for some random port for a game, it's more likely you did something wrong.

First, make sure you forwarded the correct port to the correct IP. You may need to reboot your router for it to take effect.

Second, don't disable the windows firewall, that just causes more problems (for vista or newer), instead, unblock the specific ports you need in the firewall.

Third, make sure a service is actually listening on the port.

Once that's done, a port test should work.

Slightly off topic:

The netgear router that comes free with virgin media doesn\'t support manual port forwarding... Thats why I smashed it up. I mean seriously, how is the human race still producing crap routers like this?

A lot of ISP's are now blocking certain ports so even if you do portforward the port is still block because your ISP has blocked it.

I know your ISP can stop you,
Plus I've tried to port forward 5 times.
I also got 2 programs the port forward for you.
Next time read the very first post? I've said this already.
So I'll try port forwarding then restarting my router.
But by restarting what do you mean unplugging and pluging back in/ The button on the back?
