An update has been released for Shoot 'Em Up Kit that includes the ability to export stand-alone exe files.

Installation Notes
------------------
If you are re-installing the Shoot 'Em Up Kit then please be aware that the installation could overwrite some of the files
in the "My Documents\Shoot-Em-Up Kit Projects" folder, and you could lose details of Sprites, Entities, Sound Cues, Sound
Items, Particles and Definitions which you have created. Please back-up this folder before re-installing.

Version 1.0.5
-------------
- Stand-alone EXE's can now be exported from the Build menu.
- Added some optimisations to the GUI to improve performance in the editors.
- Fixed a crash when leaving the "Create" mode and selecting a game from the "Play" menu.
- Fixed an issue with some x files containing a large number of materials or containers.
- Fixed an issue with connector lines sometimes still be visible after leaving the behaviour Editor.
- Fixed an issue which could result in Sprite-based NPCs going the wrong way with Chase or Evade AI types.
- Sprite background now appears correctly in Camera thumbnail
- Fixed a potential crash if NPCs are disabled when they go off-screen.
- Collision Damage is now correctly set for NPCs.
- Fixed a crash if the main window is resized while selecting a Model, Texture, Entity or Particle system.
- The Rebuild button from the seelction dialog has been removed as it was unnecessary and causing confusion.

Known Issues
------------
- 2nd Level will be developed for the Cave sample game.
- Volume controller does not work in the user settings menu.
- Shader Model 2 shaders produce brighter lighting than their SM3 versions.

Features Missing or Disabled
----------------------------
- Volume and Controller dialogs for stand-alone games.

This build, and the previous ones, have addressed a lot of the requests and issues people have raised over the past couple of weeks in the forums.

We have also created some more sample games, and video tutorials which you can see on our YouTube channel:

I hope you enjoy using the Shoot 'Em Up Kit.

Thanks,
John

I have a question. Does this engine belong to TGC?

Hi halley. The Shoot 'Em Up Kit is developed by Tall Studios and so the Engine doesn't belong to TGC. However, Tall Studios have a long-term partnership with TGC and the Shoot 'Em Up Kit will be supported on both sites.

Thanks,
John
