How about some Mario RPG for $849.50
or Super Metroid for $699.95
Link to the Past for $399.99?
Earthbound is running $150.00 used.

You could also get Hagane (whatever that is) for $1997.00

I thought this was crazy. Listings of expensive Nintendo games. The most expensive was sold for $41,300. Crazy stuff.

What would add to the funnyness is if you receives the games and it smelt like ciggs and the boxes were torn and the actual game was fried [snes chips]

I ordered the D&D Red Box from Amazon for just under £13, including P&P... waited two weeks then got an email saying they were out of stock so I cancelled my order... checked Amazon and now find they're selling the Red Box for £50!

In other words it seems like they didn't want to give me it for such a cheap price. :/

I reject your reality and substitute my own...

You probably saw the price of a third party seller (alternate sellers who set their own prices and have their own inventories), or they were actually out of stock and raised the price on it for new buyers, who would also have to wait for it.

Amazon in my experience doesn't play the "just hold your order until you go away" game. Amazon will outright tell you if they don't want to give it due to a pricing error, and will automatically cancel and refund your order.

Must be because they're trying to make it a rare collectable for sale. When in reality you could just buy it from your Wii

Unfortunately this has nothing to do with the actual game, but the cartridge that it resides in.

Luckily for me I still have all my Atari, NES, Gameboy, SNES and Genesis games plus boxes in good condition. Though my gameboy ended up with dead pixels on the left and right borders. I went to checkout how much to replace it and it was around the 300 range...

Got to love 80's game collectibles.

I have some games that I worked on, maybe I should sign my name on them, and sell them.

The price would depend on it if you do. If it is used then it's going to be cheap if it's in its box and never used then it will be the price your looking for.

All this talk of old games makes me think of how I used to get old NES games to work:
1. only pushing the cartridge in enough so that it 'clicks' or snaps down.
2. putting a game in, then pushing another one in on top.
and 3:

Looking through the Gamecube stuff on Amazon, I have well over $1500 worth of gear. I wouldn't sell it though.
