Could somebody tell me, why does every AppGameKit app require internet connections permission? Just curious...

I want to add another question to this. Can networking functions travel on LAN only or WAN as well. Aa help files show that traveling on wan is possible by putting the ip adress.

The tier 1 apps are based on the interpreter which required network access for broadcasting. Safer to leave the permission on than take it out and risk the program crashing or getting closed because of setting up the broadcast objects causing the OS to complain. You can try removing the permission and see what happens, I've not tried.

Thanks Paul, althrough while I am using Tier 2, I think I could remove network permissions because there's no broadcasting for T2.

broadcasting is sending data to all devices which are actually connected to one local network.

If you use the IP address to join a hosted network, and you have setup the necessary port forwarding on your router, then networks will work across the internet.
