Hi, anyone know how to workout what the string would be to say put the number 2394268 so that when this string is put into excel the graphic output of the 128 font will be the same as the bar code copy I have.

found one site but it does not seem to do all of the numbers I put in.

I know that it starts with Í and ends with Î but it working out what the number or letters would be for the number inputted.

Well, if you upload a picture, maybe someone can translate it. Print it out, scan it with a barcode scanner then read the input. Or, grab a barcode font and work backwards with that.

Well if you use a smart phone barcode reader it will come back unknown.

Now in Excel the text use to get the same picture is

Í7~:È8zÎ using the '128 font'

here's the original picture.

edit

Just use a font where you know how the ASCII values map to the barcode "characters".

Not all fonts use the same mappings and trying to work it out is a waste of time.

using what the the_winch link to above it seem that the number shown below the barcode is the 128 number and not a number.

as 23 lookups as 7.
