Quote: "So maybe we should just refer to them as somewhat creepy adventure games now. I only played the demo of Amnesia, so my experience of it is limited. I found it did a better job than most other games - if you didn't find Amnesia scary I'll doubt you'll find Call of Cthulhu scary either, you might find creepy bits or appreciate the atmosphere and it is generally a good game, at least its horror isn't the only thing going for it - I don't know if it becomes more and more predicatable as you move on - as I've said, I've not played it all the way through. I doubt it'll scare somebody who has seen it all before, but out of all the horror games I'd say Prenumbra/Amnesia/Call of Cthulhu are the better ones (from recent(ish) years), at least from what I've played of them."
I didn't find Amnesia terrifying, but I definitely enjoyed the game. I found it boring, not scary at all, and in general bland.... but I enjoyed every second of it. Yes I know it doesn't make sense. Lol. I just love horror settings and stories so it kept me intrigued. So far I haven't found Call of Cthulhu scary but I'm enjoying it!

Blood, no problem, anything including veins (Syringe(?) injections is prime example of those) and the like will just make me feel so shoey uncormfortable its... arrhgg >_<'"
That's pretty much what I meant. It's not necessarily "scary" to see gore, but it's disturbing in it's own way.
