I removed and re-added the references, but I get this when trying to run the sample program:

Could not load file or assembly 'DarkGDK, Version=1.2.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=e5d518e3875aacb1' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I thought the same when I first got it but it does work fine your error is because you need to set your project CPU type to x86 it will currently be set to auto also if your using the template that comes with it make sure you set the viewport to not embedded for the moment otherwise your key movements won't work

Any problems post up as I'm a fellow newbie who has just brought this too

No Problem happy to help, shame the board is a little dead though.

A lot is happening with the new products from TGC and DarkGDK.NET will soon be superseded.

That maybe true but the current DarkGDK.NET is still a good product and able to do what most people need (if it didn't have any bugs )

It would be good to get a little more support with the product though

If there was a list of actual bugs, specific to the DarkGDK.NET class library, I could resolve these and update the product. The problems that I cannot fix, if any, are the problems associated with the DarkGDK libraries themselves.

Hi Paul,

Some of the issues i have found are

.Pick (http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=196994&b=37)
.SetBumpMappingOn (Does not work)

Of course there is the templates included which need updating which would save posts in here every time someone buys the product.

I'm sure there is more which I'm happy to email you about as I find them but I'm new to all this so trying to learn on the job

Also Paul if would be good to get the tutorials/help files update

madmonkey,

I'd be happy to revisit the templates and get them sorted so that the files load correctly under Visual Studio 2010. Generally speaking, the product has to be rebuilt from the bottom up as my machine is also now 64bit, and even though everything still works fine from the builds, the templates do not. Also, it's difficult to ascertain the differences between bugs in the main engine code (which are very few now tbh) and the class code that wraps the interop library.

Because of the release of other products and the pending DarkGDK 2.0 product as well (not sure how far this has come atm), would DarkGDK.NET still be viable for an update that the forum support threads have not already addressed?

Paul.
