Just to some up my thoughts on the hackathon:
It was a great experience and my thanks go to Rick and TGC for asking me along! it was nice to finally meet Rick and collaberate with the pressure on!
We produced a simple working game with all the basic gameplay elements within about 32 hours which is no mean feat. We were in the vast minority in terms of creating an actual application from scratch rather than a web app or re-hash of something we already had in development.
That might sound like sour grapes but it really isn't, there were a number of really great ideas, some of which deserved to be produced in their own right rather than having to be squeezed into a competition brief and I really hope some of them take off.
The winner was a great idea and I look forward to seeing how it is developed into a finished app.
I'm sure the game we produced will become available in some format in the future so you can see what we managed to make in such a short space of time. Thanks again for all your support, it made me smile to hear your comments (read by Rick) while I furiously coded away

I enjoyed watching the process and getting to put faces to names.

Nice work Baxslash.

I agree with the sentiment that it wasn't really a level field if someone could bring in a 90% produced project and just tidy it up for the comp.

I can see it now: "No! the app was completely created here, I just included my standard code library for support functions "

As most have said here, you stood above the crowd in doing exactly what you intended to do - produce something from nothing and that something was excellent.

Well done, and nice game BTW.

I'll just point out that the controls were meant for accelerometer and that when it's played on a device it's a little less sensitive. If we make a release version for Windows I'll reduce the control sensitivity a bit!

Yes. I just made a system on the day, it was pretty basic. There were two kinds of particle, stars and bubbles; stars moved in a constant direction, grew, faded and rotated; bubbles moved backwards and gradually floated up, grew, faded and didn't rotate...

We don't own the rights to some of the images in the game (IE. Cadbury) so we can't send it out in its current state but we will try to publish a version of it soon at least in windows format.

Oh, I nearly forgot to thank Daniel of TGC for the only 20 or so lines of code that weren't my own

I used his functions for setting the accelerometer for the current angle of the device. Worked a treat!

The other 1000 lines (more or less) were my own
