Hi, I'm looking for a male voice actor to voice a doctor. This is a small paid job.

Project Working Title - [a short indie horror video game]Rebirth

Project Description - I'm creating a game engine and to demonstrate it I'm putting together a short FPS survival horror game. You will voice a male doctor who has a twisted, uncaring personality.

Character - Male, Dr Oakley (age 30s to mid 40s).

Audition lines -

"Good morning Nurse Baxley, I've been expecting you."

"How is the new arrival?"

"and the Mother?"

"Well, that was her 7th cycle...maybe it's for the best."

"No other loose ends I hope?"

"Very well, you can place the child into cold storage now."

"Nurse, I almost forgot to say..."

"It's good to have you back here at the Institute."

File formats - you can email me a .WAV or a .MP3 or you can send me an audio only YouTube video if you like (make sure to upload it as private and then share it with me).

Deadline - end of Friday, 15th June 2012

Usage - I will need you to give me full royalty free, commercial rights to the audio. Please say the following before you say the audition lines.

"I {you're YouTube name} also known as {you're email address} give TheWeepingCorpse full royalty free, commercial rights to this audio recording only after the agreed payment has been received."

Payment - I'm offering a small sum of money for the winner of this voice acting audition. 20 GBP (which is approximately 25 EURO or 32 USD). You must have a paypal account so I can send you the payment. I will also include your YouTube name (or your real name if you wish) in the game credits.

My YouTube channel is www.youtube.com/user/TheWeepingCorpse

My email is [email protected]

What accent do you want? What period is the game set in? Who is he talking to in those lines? What is the context of what he's saying?

@OBese87

Accent doesnt matter, must be spoken english.

Modern day setting.

He's talking to a female nurse.

He's a cold hearted uncaring doctor about to place a living child into storage.

How many lines altogether are you wanting -- including the audition lines? Or a more precise indication of the amount would be how many words?

@F l a t l a n d e r

Dr Oakley is a one off, disposable character. The lines in my opening post are his entire script. The nurse he is talking to (whos lines I havnt included) has a much larger role and I've already found an amazing actress for her voice.

Could you post the nurse's lines? It's still confusing as to how these should be read.

Sorry, I can't because it would reveal two much of the game story.

I've posted this same job on two amateur voice acting websites and the response has been good. Most of the actors seem to understand what I need without giving anymore details.

Maybe you could send me your audition anyway?

That's reasonable then. If you already have a pretty good response then I will probably hold off as I don't really need the money and I'm sure others would like a little extra cash; but, it's fun doing voices just the same. Especially since I have MorphVox to do my own characters.

You need a paypal account. Unverified, you can recieve only a limited amount of cash and you cannot draw it out (to my knowledge) unless you verify your account, however you can still buy online with it.

Verification:
You need a credit card or a chequing account debit card. Follow the instructions given by the "verify account" link on paypal's site.

@The Weeping Corpse:
A pity about this, if you'd have posted just 2.5 months back before my mic broke, I'd have done it. I have an uncaring voice naturally, lol. Well, that's what friends tell me - aside from that I'm creepy and that I scare children

I've been keeping up with this thread because I love voice acting, and have a bit of experiance. But given my younger age I didn't audition for a 30-40 year old man. If you need any small part roles for teen or preteen children, hollar my way, but other then that it made me kinda sad that I couldn't audition.
