Riffing off of the National Novel Writing Month, someone's started a National Game Development Month ... and it's June! The goal is to make a complete playable game in 30 days. I'm not sure who's behind it, but it coincides well with my first foray into AppGameKit Tier 2, so I may participate.

There's no restrictions on country of origin; apparently the "National" part was chosen to put people in mind of NaNoWriMo. There's no theme or anything. I think mainly people will use the forums and the artificial deadline as support and incentive.

Oh, the link: http://nagademo.com/index

Have fun!

Daww, we've had NaGaCreMo for a few years here, but its always been an informal thing (every January), I suppose the main difference is that NaGaCreMo will accept complete demos and from the sound of it NaGaDeMo is asking for a complete game.

Still it's pretty cool to see somebody's got one running, it's also the NaNoWriMo Camp this month and as a couple of friends are doing it, I'm doing that instead. It might be a little mad if I tried both.
