Nice and clean. Not all flashy (both looks and Adobe Flash) and Apple-esque. Melikes.

Thanks Nateholio. I am trying to go for a more professional appeal and color choice thats nice on the eyes. None of that childish red on black eye hurting colors.

The website looks nice and nateholio said it well... The only thing I would change is that image below the tabs; I would put that above the tabs. But other than that it looks terrific.

Hi.
1. Your site called JC design but main page call it JC productions.
2. 3D pictures are awfull, you should re-render them at settings, suitable for PORTFOLIO.
3. Main page's 3D picture is not suitable for main page. It's too generic and boring, has many copy-pasted objects, you should avoid such on your site as you present yourself as designer. make something special.
4. Email does not contain COMMENT, it contains message.
5. Overall impression is low, no info, just bunch of boring renders.
6. Photos are good, but how did they get into your game design portfolio?
Cheers.

The first screen is a bit bare. The Portfolio screen has Portfolio written like a clickable text button. Change the font so that it doesn't look clickable.

Nah, the text is too light of a blue to appear that way.

Though I would take the text 'Portfolio' and make it larger, in bold if it already isn't, and center it. Perhaps make it slightly darker?

On 'About Us' you made some errors:
"We are two young adults pursuing [careers in] game design and hope to be successful in our future."
Personally I would scrap from the 'and' to the end of the sentence: Hoping for success is a given.

Writing a biog is one of the few times it looks better to write in third-person, and it's handy for lazy journalists if you're lucky enough to get publicity. (Tip: always use full words in formal writing; no numbers or contractions (apart from your company name of course).)
"Collin Anderson is the main founder of J.C. Productions. He has been programming for over four years and dreams of becoming a professional game designer in the future." You don't have to use that, it's just an example. You could put the part about starting when you were ten back in if you flesh it out a bit but I felt it was a bit stilted having two numbers of years right next to each other with no detail.

All of your renders are very colourless and I agree the shot on the front page is dull and unimpressive, I think the weird machine is a more interesting one.

It may be just me, but from a designer point of view, using weebly or any other types of pre-templated drag and drop webbased editing software is just... cheating. It kinda defeats the 'design' subject, on which a portfolio is based. Ofcourse the website is good looking, and pretty smooth, but on the other hand not much different than other portfolios. A portfolio should not only contain your great pieces of art, it should be the greatest piece of art. (And thus... original blablabla)

Cheers,

Unless he's trying to be a web design artist, I don't think it matters if he's using a template. The site looks nice. Just don't forget to clean up the details. The details are the most important, and take up 90 percent of the time correcting.

like using the same framesize for both, 3d and photography. a simple black 16:9 frame on the 3d or cutting the photos down is easy to do.

this.^^
i can understand if you focus on 3d and photography, but it would be better to do a design and give it someone who knows how to build it (and even if its done with dreamweaver [love] ). a portfolio/info-site without a shop is simple, when you deliver the design the setup shouldnt be more than 100-200€ to get it done by any student or 0,- for a friend.
you can add a shop later with an external system, mostly easy delivered with your provider.

main thing is: it would look like you want it to look.
should be worth it, THIS WILL BE YOUR FACE TO ALL OUT THERE.

Weebly is 100% editable through html. There's a nice little button at the top that allows you to edit the code in real-time, which is really handy. Even in 3D modeling I'll throw out a template and work from there.

Nothing wrong with a template, unless it was a site showcasing a web design portfolio.
