Hi i request that a Mod either call or email support or TGC. I would do it my self but calling the U.K from the U.S just costs way to much plus i do not have long distance.

I have waited patiently for 10 days now for my 2 orders to be approved. It looks like it will now be 11 Days soon. I'm running out of patience.

I would like my software today if possible,my roommate keeps saying that i should demand a refund and im coming real close in doing so but cause I'm such a good person I'm trying to give TGC the benefit of the doubt.

Please try to get them to approve me.

My name is James Barrek.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Uh, not sure if Mods have much more access to the sales department than we users do. I saw another thread about this (I assume it was you). Unfortunately, these forums aren't really for TGC sales inquiries. If you wanna get in touch but can't phone them, you could try this link:
http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=contact_orders
It's for contact and support for various things. I can personally say I've never waited longer than 48 hours for a response. Dunno what the situation at TGC is but I'm sure there's a reason...

What products have you purchased? I may be able to point you to trial versions that you can use in the meantime while you wait for your order to be cleared.

Also, what was your payment method? (It may be that the service experiencing technical problems).

You could always use Skype. It's cheap to call international.

And honestly, I think it's a little unprofessional, for lack of a better word, to be airing your issues with TGC here on the forums - regardless of whatever unprofessional issues TGC may or may not be having fulfilling your order.

But that's just my lowly opinion....

I did get a response from them yesterday i believe it was:

Our Reply: Hi James,

The following is a reply to your enquiry:

> Hi i would like to know when i can have my software?

Your first e-mail has been assigned to the dispatch department. Please wait for them to check on your order, you have not been forgotten, you're just in a message cue.

------------------------------------------------

@nonZero Well i thought they might have a more direct line to them cause they are Mods. Guess not

The 2 programs were 3D Gamemaker and Realm Crafter,

I used Credit Card, the money has already been taken out for both of them. I've checked.

Yea i may have made something similar to this thread but this is more direct.
-----------------------------------------------------

@Nateholio I'm not being unprofessional, that wasn't my intention,I've been more than civil so far.I was just asking a Mod to help me.

You could be a bit more specific than that, tell them when you bought it and what it was

The Mods are people just like you and me. They have volunteered or were voted into to be in their position to keep the forums clean. Aside from some TGC money voucher that they get, they have nothing to do with TGC themselves.

I'd say probably not. They've probably locked the doors and went out for some beer.

Okay James,

I found you a demo version of Realm Crafter here:
http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=view_product&id=2130&page=downloads
You can start getting to know the software while you wait for your order

Sadly, I could not locate a legal free version of "The 3D Gamemaker" (I believe the trial version was called the "lite" version). Hopefully you can have fun with the demo version of Realm Crafter so long. Will post if I find anything else.

Everyone says that TGC is slow, which I can totally understand, since it's all manual, but I've never had any problems with them, even over weekends... I guess I'm just lucky.

Particularly since Vent (and us) lives here in Canada (where there is snow... and dog sleds). We certainly have never had issues with orders.

It could also have something to do with the fact that as far as I can tell the amount of users using drag-and-drop game creators like Realm Crafter and T3DGM (aside from FPSC) has declined to a mere few. Im sure this has caused TGC to stop stocking the products and so they have to order it in and get it prepared.

In the amount of time you've spent waiting for a basic game creator to be shipped to you, you could have sat down and taught yourself the basics of programming with Dark Basic Professional or another language and made an actual game instead of a cut and paste one .

it does say "delivery via download" but, at some point, it's out of TGC's hands. anyone have experience with RC delivery/processing?

He bought the downloadable versions so that doesn't relate to him at all lol. Not that you would have known, but even so I highly doubt that be the case anyways.

There's nothing wrong with drag n drop game makers. They are entirely for a hobby. Sure you will never create something as great as you would by programming but from my experience, drag n drop is far less frustrating and requires far less patience. I'm sure people will argue that but generally the only time I hear people complain about game design is when they complain about some line of code not working that they spend hours trying to fix. Sometimes, for the newbie hobbyist, drag n drop is just easier and more fun.

I honestly don't agree in the slightest. If I paid for a downloadable version of anything and haven't been able to download it in ten days, I'd be furious... Especially even more so when the company responds only by saying, "Please wait, you have not been forgotten." I understand they are entirely manual, but it shouldn't take this long. If it's an error in the ordering, that's understandable, but I'd still be pretty ticked. When I bought FPSC years ago, I received a CD copy of it in seven days and I live in America. If they can ship a CD halfway across the world in a week, I'm pretty sure they could get a download link sent to someone in a week too.

I'm also incredibly impatient and I definitely would have asked for a refund by now. Seriously though, I'm horribly impatient. I don't want to wait for anything. But I put part of that blame due to living in California because it's stupid fast paced out here.

Yeah, but a forum is the place to go if you want posts like yours, sarcastic posts like ruccus's, general bickering, and retorts like mine. They're NOT very useful for getting official support. It's pointless to post in a forum, and it's unprofessional to double post another thread

He mentioned he had used an old email to purchase the software, which he no longer has access to, so he probably does have the software, he just can't get to it.
