Nice. Hmm, usual working day:-

1. Wake up about 9am.
2. Toilet (inc. reading the news, playing games on phone etc) and Shower etc.
3. Put on shorts (nothing else)
4. Commute across busy (wife and cat) hallway to work
5. Start work at 11am (GMT contracts)
6. Lunch at 2pm. Normally eat wife made lunch with wife on balcony or while watching TV. At the minute it's Pawn stars. Very addictive...
7. Back to work at 3pm
8. Finish work at 7.30pm
9. Jump in pool for a bit
10. Write a bit of code for a game or app I'm in the middle of
11. Eat wife prepared dinner
12. Watch a film or some show
13. Bed at about 11pm
14. Wife will fall asleep watching TV at about 11.45pm so I will then watch my own stuff on phone to avoid disturbing her

That's about an ordinary day for me at the minute. Minus some gaming sessions or censored bits Oh and obviously pepper in some forum browsing and the like. Biggest difference in the last 6 months is I'm bored of FB and hardly check it that much. Even on my mobile. Literally about once a week on mobile and about once every two months on a PC.

Cheers

Wait, you brush your teeth, and THEN eat?
Everyone so far seems to have a lot of free time besides the working fella.

1. Attempt to get up.
2. Once achieved, jump in shower (shampoo/condition first, facewash, soap up, wash conditioner out, shave). <- in order.
3. Get dressed.
4. Eat a quick breakfast/take vitamins, whilst going over my lecture notes before lectures for the day.
5. Pack backback with laptop/books.
6. Go to lectures/computer or mathematics labs for around 4-7 hours a day. Including lunch. I usually pick up various campus foods, SubWay, or Sushi.
7. Get home.
8. Go over my days work (brush up on stuff I was confused about. Usually don't stop till I am confident with the material)
9. Spend time with my Girlfriend and other flatmates.
10. Eat dinner.
11. Whether it's a week night or not I may or may not get slizzard and go out clubbing.
12. Check facebook/forums/news.
14. Attempt to find time to develop my game of the last 2 years...
15. Go to bed/talk with girlfriend for ages over stupid stuff that makes us laugh.
16. If it's exam period then I never have free time from studying except sleep.
16. Repeat until holidays.

Holiday timetable

I usually go visit my parents and stuff so I make 8 hour drive to my hometown and stay with them for around a week.

This holiday me, my Girlfriend, sister, her fiance, and my dad are going skiing so that'll be fun. I usually try to go skiing at least a couple weeks a year.

1. Be lazy.
2. Be lazy/play games.
3. Work a lot on game.
4. Get suddenly inspired
7. Do more work.
8. Study for next semester.
9. Have fun with boredom.

Typical student life.

2 ... Do the usual WC stuff
3 ... Eat ... My breakfasts are varied from cereal with cow milk to southern fried chicken or pasta and sauce or chips (not crisps)
4 ... As my pc is on 24/7 I just get on it... Oh and I eat while using my pc lol...
5 ... Procrastinate until I get a spark of interest...
6 ... Depending on the spark in 5 I either do a lot of reading... Playing if its game time to further enhance my spark... Or start whatever the spark is related to... Be it work or game dev or web dev...
7 ... Eat or lets not forget drink lol...
8 ... Do some social stuff when the occasion calls for it...
9 ... Checking the forum ... Facebook... Messengers occurs all day long...
10 ... Eat yup three square meals at minimum a day...
11 ... Sleep only when I have exhausted my entire energy pack... Oh mind you sometimes there is no set sleeping time so my wake up time is varied too...

All in all I really need to get back into a routine of sorts again...

Oh and while my good bikes are not stolen I go biking and walking in the park during the summer time...

Travels involve going on flights around the globe... Namely Japan and China though I am aiming to add SKorea to the list soon... Past locations include places in Europe and the Middle East like Turkey...

I'm not organised, but I guess you could say something like this.

1) Wake up
2) Turn on computer + modem
3) Browse the internet/Look for (and apply for) jobs
4) Grab breakfast
5) Continue with pre-breakfast activity
6) Play SWTOR (do dailies, level up, if I feel like it) or a different video game
7) Eat lunch
8) Write/Program (depending on which I've chosen to do)
9) Cook then eat dinner
10) Maybe play some more games or program/write for a little while
11) Watch TV
12) Raid/PvP on SWTOR with guild
13) Go to sleep.

And at some point, there's "have a shower", but when I have one is fairly inconsistent, pretty much a, "when I can be bothered". There's toilet breaks in there too, but to be honest, they work on a need-to-go basis. There's usually other off hand internet browsings in the too, like now, which is in between 8 and 9 on my list.

Yes, there's no social life in there. Usually social stuff is whe the writing/programming/playing games is, because friends live far away, meeting up with them is not a day-to-day thing. So contact is mostly MSN/Steam/GTalk/Facebook/Skype.

I don't really have a set routine. But a typical workday goes something like this:

1) Roll outta bed
2) Turn on the radio to the political talk station (Sirius Patriot)
3) Turn on the heat to get the place up to 75-80 after a cool night
4) Check email\TGC forums\Facebook
5) Mess around with my project; talk on Skype/Xbox to other people working on project once a week or so
6) Shower\hygene\get dressed
7) Feed cats
8) Leave for work
9) Pick something up to eat
10) Eat lunch in parking lot at work and rock out in the car for 5-10 mins
11) Work\hours of boredom and Facebooking
12) Drive home
13) Repeat 4, 5 & 7
14) Go to bed

Weekends are pretty much random but Tuesdays I've got family night from 1700 to whenever.

You guys need to get out more! The real world > virtual.

Here's what I usually do though:

1. Wake up and shower.

2. Eat breakfast, usually 4-6 eggs and 2 bagels with cheese
and a protein shake.

3. Brush my teeth and take a crap right after.

4. Head to the gym and do physical therapy and sit in the steam room, usually there for about an hour and a half.

5. Eat lunch, varied meals all the time but chicken alfredo is most common. Depending on what time I woke up, I may kill a few minutes of time on the computer waiting for gym partner (father.)

6. Head back to the gym and weight lift, usually about 2 hours. Before my injury, the gym was usually about 4 hours the one time and no physical therapy before. I played competitive racquetball, my father is my partner for that as well. But since the injury the gym is physical therapy and weight lifting, no racquetball. I weight lift either 5 or 6 days a week. It's very, very, very, very, very seldom do I ever go less than 5 especially now that I am off work 8 months.

7. Drink another protein shake right when I get home then I may go lay down for a few minutes if I'm exhausted enough from the gym.

8A. Call up one of my friends see if they want to chill, I see a movie literally once every week with them, though I guess that isn't technically my "daily" routine; it's just common. If we aren't seeing a movie, we are probably playing football or basketball.
8B.If no one is available, I usually head back to the gym, do more physical therapy maybe even two-a-day weight lift or I'll sit in the spa, sauna, and steam room. If I'm not in the mood to be made fun of by all the workers at the gym for having no life (which is every time I go given I'm there basically 3 times a day every day--I have a lot of time what with no job now so I am there as much as the workers even are) so I may stay home on the computer being bored for a bit.
8C. Depending on the time of year, sports are always on TV basically. Basketball just ended but for the pat few months up until now, if I've had nothing to do after the gym I'd sit and watch basketball.

9. Dinner time. Almost forgot, crap #2 shortly after dinner of course!

10. Late nights is my down time. This where I nerd it up the rest of the time.

That's pretty much my day. The only thing that varies is what sport is on TV because of the time of year. Not the biggest basketball fan, certainly better than not watching sports, but football.... Oh football how I miss football right now. I'm talking real football too. Not soccer/football.

To all you people who shower and then crap, you're doing it in the wrong order!

I'm a little jealous of all you who don't have jobs and just sit around playing games all day. What a life that must be!

My routine is more like:

- Get up too early
- Skytrain to work
- Work
- Hang out with girlfriend
- Go to bed too late

I've always thought the same, but I never have to crap the moment I wake up, it's always about ten minutes after breakfast and half hour after a dinner. I pretty much crap at the same time both times every single day depending when I wake up though so at least I'm consistent. Lol.

It's good for a couple of weeks but it gets old and is actually kinda boring, plus you don't have money to do the things you wanna do. As crazy as it sounds, I'd rather be working.

As for my poop schedule, it normally beats the shower, but thankfully the two never clash, because that'd be kinda weird.

Indeed it does. But I don't find many people who want to go on 12 mile hikes through the mountains. I also pretty much have boycotted movies because 1) Most of them are crap 2) I don't like forking over money to people like celebs, who then give it to...well, that's out of the scope of this thread, forum, and site. The "real world" of entertainment is putting out a lot of crap IMHO, from games, to music, to movies. Society has become too obsessed with entertainment, sports, games, &&c; which is the same as not living in the real world you mention.

I did forget one thing in my routine...the 30min walk during my lunch break around the compound on the perimeter security road that surrounds the place. A refreshing time to enjoy the decent weather and think about my project and other things from politics to quantum physics.

I feel you man, but do not go wasting this amazing opportunistic time, study something!

I would do anything for 8 months to study as I have a whole load of books right now that keep being added to, I just bought a book yesterday and in a few days buying another...

Well, as of my usual day.
1. Get up
2. Piddle around\text girlfriend
3. Drive to town and try not to wreck in the horrendous traffic.
4. Do whatever I feel like doing (Which ranges from designing, rarely programming, and maybe do a YouTube video if I can find the darn resources, and swimming!)
5. Eat supper.
6. Continue with #4.
7. Piddle around and text girlfriend.
8. Go to sleep.

You may have noticed that there's no breakfast nor lunch, yeah that's not an error.

Study? Lol good one.

Quote: "Society has become too obsessed with entertainment, sports, games, &&c; which is the same as not living in the real world you mention."

One could not simply be too obsessed with sports. And I didn't say 'watching' sports was the real world, however when I was outside playing them for hours a day.... well that was the real world. It's tough to do with my knee now though.

Quote: "1) Most of them are crap 2) I don't like forking over money to people like celebs"

If you don't go to movies, then how would you know if they are crap at all? There's plenty of great movies worth seeing. Of course there are more bad movies than good but that doesn't mean the good ones aren't worth seeing. If you go by yourself than any movie won't be near as good so go with a large group of people. And there aren't enough people with your view on giving celebrities money for you to be making any difference there. The movie industry makes billions of dollars a year in America alone. "Boycotting" movies is missing something extremely entertaining in life.
