I have been on vacation a while and just downloaded AppGameKit 1076. Maybe I'll work on making a from-scratch tutorial.

What's the best format/medium you think? I don't have any desktop streaming software on hand so if you want a youtube thingy I'll need a recommendation of some good free desktop streamers.

Otherwise, PowerPoint too old fashioned? lol

I recently got one to work and now I can't remember how.

Currently, in v1076 (and probably all 107), the examples don't compile and the template also has problems.

I know the AppGameKit guys are working on this problem, but it hasn't trickled down, yet.

Cheers,

I would recommend to the AGK. guys that they approach this by creating a Wizard. the wizard that is floating around is out of date. they should update it and keep it updated with the updated versions of AGK.
Being a developer, myself, I know that if I had a choice between coding up a wizard or writing a huge document, I know which one I would choose....

I did not mean to ignore your post in my previous post
I dont know how to do a youtube video as a tutorial. It would be great if you did it.
I would settle for a pdf file with pictures

I would agree that a wizard would be excellent. The one from Orac works if you unblock the files. I still use it to this day. Makes creating projects easier.

It does work, but the core.cpp that it puts in the project directory seems outdated. It works and compiles, but some functionality does not seem to be there. I was trying to get the camera stuff working and it just flickered at me. someone (in another thread) recommended i replace the core.cpp with the one located in under the IDE directory. when I did this, lots of errors....
I am not sure how that core.cpp gets created or copied. It *seems* to be customized in the wizard to put project name in it among other things??

whew!

I've been able to get the template_v10 to work in VS2010 C++ express. If I made a video on how to get the template_v10 to work, would it be helpful to you guys?

I have no idea on how to make an AppGameKit project from scratch though, I always used the templates.

It would also be very helpful for me too.. I've only ever done DarkBasic Pro projects and this is a big difference for me !

Thanks in advance

Here you go guys:

The videos (second one regarding the AppGameKit wizard is uploading now) can also be found here.

Enjoy!

Edit- forgot to mention there is a slight audio/video sync issue. The audio is a bit faster than the video but I'm hoping that won't be too much of a hindrance.

Edit 2- AppGameKit Wizard video:

@Hodgey

I can't thank you enough for this.

I've been trying to get that to work for 2 weeks now! I had no clue on how to go about this.

I am totally new to VS and this was essentially impossible for me right now.

If I can repay you with a graphic or something let me know
