AdMob requires compiling against API 13 or above, but you can still target API 9 by specifying

in the AndroidManifest.xml, the tier 1 player does this.

you can use http://www.keepvid.com/ to download it, just view the video on youtube, copy the URL, then type it into keepvid.

There are 10 types of people, those who understand binary and those who don't

Thanks for the response Cor.

I finally got round to following the video through and built the SnakeSnacker app for my Nexus 7. Everything seemed to go hunky-dory but when I run it on the nexus, the response from screen input is really slow - enough to make the game unplayable. The game itself seems to perform fine. However, you have to hold your finger down on the screen to get it to register (not just tap) so there's maybe a 1/2 second delay to get the snake to turn. This is even true when tapping to play on the menu or quitting the game. Have I done something wrong during the build process or is there an issue with AppGameKit and the nexus 7 or what? Any ideas anybody?

Sorry it would cost me:

£499 for a Mini Mac
£25 for a Mini Display Port to DVI converter
£99 for an apple developer account
£73 for a copy of Camtasia for Mac

I'm afraid it's £696 I can't afford.

But I am glad these videos have helped.
