A little technical question for those in the know.

When I used to use FPSC X10 the texture quality on the test games was magnificent, almost perfect pixel clarity (to my ancient eyes).

When developing in X9 however the test game textures are; even at their maximum setting in 'Preferences' blurry at best.

Is there an setting somewhere, perhaps in the setup.ini or some such file that can be tweaked to give greater texture clarity? I`m almost certain it is not my textures themselves as on an earlier model pack I tested on both platforms and the difference was noticeable then... and I had a worse PC back then.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

New PC Specifications : Intel Core i3 2.93Ghz. Windows Vista Ultimate. 4GB DDR3 RAM. ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT.

TGC Store Tag : Kasseyus (need to make a graphical sig one day)

I know in the entity settings there is a section for reduced textures. You could check to see if they are being reduced.

rightclick entity? ^^

especially the stock-entities are mostly very low-res textured, fpsc was originally made for 1024x768. you have to retexture them by hand if you want better resolutions, but watch out for performance.

or open their FPE file not the FPI file. It should be located in your entity bank beside your entity files.

But yeah some textures are quite low.
