Wordpress has only pre-set themes (well for the free users like myself). You can customize certain things but it's quite limited.

I use Wordpress for my site and find that a lot of the themes that are free are customisable easily enough.

The way I've laid mine out (needs a good sorting out though), is a static page as the main page which links to all my other pages via a menu or another option to my blog pages. I've also recently installed a forum so I can showcase all my old stuff as I dig them out...

For easy web setting up, Wordpress is very easy. There's plenty of plugins and the free SEO plugins are fantastic.

Actually setting it up from scratch is a tad fiddly and you will need to follow the instructions from Wordpress's website. This means logging into your cPanel and setting up the SQL database that Wordpress will use. Once that's done the rest is a doddle, just copy the files over using filezilla and then load up your webpage and you're done...

Yeah look for a basic site it's fine. I find that the really good looking themes come at the cost of flexibility. Still, for a software site it's fine. I'm afraid I'm very nit-picky about my own stuff's layout, colours, etc.

Is there a addon to dreamweaver or a blog maker so that I can add a blog to my site?

Wordpress is incredibly customizable, it just doesn't fit the bill of "easy". There are lots of tutorials too, but you'll have to learn a bit of PHP. See if you're comfortable with something like this: http://codex.wordpress.org/The_Loop

Ah, right, but you're not hosting the site yourself... Ignore the link then. (but... you still might want a properly hosted site in the future!)

Errm, I'd say the best option would be wordpress or tumblr or something along those lines.

Ok my deadline's close and I'm gonna be screwed. I would pay £20 if someone would help me on a 1 2 1 basis, no need to meet up e-mail is enough.

All I want is a for por loging in and or posting (to worpress blog or any other)

I need this form on my self made page(I deal with basic html).

To have Wordpress empower your website takes a fair bit of effort, and some PHP file fiddling. For future reference you might want to invest in the following: http://rockablepress.com/launch/building-wordpress-themes-from-scratch/

Wordpress would be overkill for simple messages as it really is a full grown CMS that you would typically have manage everything or work as a seperate entity.

Textpattern (http://textpattern.com/) is a lot simpler, quicker and lightweight, again it's a complete solution but for future reference it might pay you to read up about it.

If you are after a quick solution to dynamically add content to your website, i.e login to admin area and change the text of a page or section. May I suggest Simple CMS (http://www.phpjabbers.com/simple-cms/) It's not really a blog but you can use it to update a News page by re-editing the text field. It's quick and cheap.
...
Actually, it seems that the Simple CMS people also do a blog script (http://www.phpjabbers.com/stiva-blog-script/) "With just a few clicks you can have a PHP blog software integrated into any website or software system" - That might be the answer you're looking for.

Hope that helps!

Depending on your Javascript knowledge, you can look into Parse.com. It started out as a backend for iOS and Android apps allowing you to create a server to store data quickly for your apps, but they've just finished adding a Javascript API as well. You can store your posts on your Parse account, and with the Javascript API query for the most recent posts and display them. The cool part is if you have the added bonus of already having an iOS developer account and an iPhone, you could write yourself a quick little app that allows you to create new posts on your site directly from your phone .

I know this is a completely different route than what you're asking for, just thought Id throw it out there. I've been using Parse for half a year now for my iOS apps now and I'm currently writing a similar system as the one I just suggested to allow my associates to update the news feed of an app's homepage through a posting app on their iPhone.

@ BlackChaos

http://www.myregent.co.uk/en/news.php

is this what you are looking for?

also note the

Quote: "News Centre"

at the bottom of the site, both data is dynamically fed through the blog [Word Press driven] in the background]

there is a set structure for this as you can clearly see... I have had issues using FQ-URL's so the best method is embedding...

email me if you want to go any further...

I am free most of this week although I really should be redesigning an entire client site >.<
