hey guys, i recently bought a music box, or in the other words an amp tool with speakers that connects to my 3mm speaker jack.
it works like charm, and the amplification is really amazing and loud.
but im not that happy with the current speakers cuz when it gets too loud, it starting to squeeze the music. i was thinking of replacing it.
those are round 4ohm/3watt speaker of 1.2/1.25 inch.
im looking for something similar in size, but so i can hear
i just found at ebay a 4ohm, 5 watt speaker. is that good enough? or should i search for something with higher ohms?

Well here's your problem:

http://www.diytrade.com/china/manufacturer/599669/main/SHENZHEN_RONGLI_XING_ELECTRONIC_CO_LTD.html

Try to find something made by a company that's worth a crap. An American or European company should work, even if their speakers are manufactured in China. At least they'll be held to some sort of standard. Aside from that, the whole unit could be a hunk-o-junk if it's designed and manufactured by a Chinese company. So I'm not sure if just replacing the speakers would work.
With that said, sometimes this type of thing just happens, even with reputable manufacturers. The only fix would be to spend a bit more on a better unit.
I'd stay with a speaker rated at the same impedance as the ones in the unit, the same or a few more watts, and about the same travel.
Good luck on your search!
