Hey,
I'm trying to get a 40x40 box to appear around an object but i cant seem to get it to work...

This is what i'm using:

I've also tried just printing the outputs to debug, and they don't even change when I move around... they give me a hugely negative number...

Any ideas?

Matt

Is otherplayer a primitive, or a loaded object?

It would hide your object wouldn't it? I just tested it anyway, and it works, but covers up objects.

What about using a sprite as the box? Load the sprite first then the other player so it draws on top of it perhaps?

I don't understand how it's working on your computers... On mine, it thinks the object is at -1900000000, -1900000000 on the screen, even when it is on the screen...

Being as I have upgraded my computer multiple times over the years, and used several Chips, and Graphic cards, I don't see how you could get a computer where it doesn't work. I would think that you have an error in your code somewhere.

Hmm, I have a similar issue, that's why I asked you if it was a loaded object in the first place. Could you possible upload your project for me to try out?

ok ive figured it out... the problem was that i had multiple cameras for water reflections and other things... I forgot to set the current camera back to the main one, so it was finding the object on a different camera...
