DG2 is now on Kickstarter and you get DG1 + new content before the release of DG2. Defense Grid is my favorite tower defense game and I have been longing for a sequel for quite some time. I just backed the project with $30 myself. Got the game on my 360 already.

I suppose we will see this hit a million by the end of the week...

The opening video inspired me to play with object limbs...

Defence Grid does look really good. Is there a PC version?

If you pledge you get the PC version on Steam For $15 you get DG1 + all the DG2 stuff for DG1 as well as DG2. For $30 you also get all the current expansions for DG1. You get an instant email with keys to Steam as soon as you pledge.

defense grid is currently 50% off ($4.99) on steam (until 07/23) and i highly recommend it (pc).

i've not purchased the DLC simply because, by the time i finished the original product, i was "done" with it (mentally) and didn't crave more (i was ready for it to be over).

steam also has the entire defense grid 1 w/ expansions at a whoppin $7.99 under their summer sale.

as for DG2, i'll read up on it and check video, etc, and will either go the $15 kickstart package or wait for it to arrive on steam and watch for a sale.

Buying DG at such low prices hardly helps the developers. They need quite a lot of money to make DG2. For $15 you get DG1 + all the new stuff for DG1 (new levels, multiplayer etc) + DG2. And that's still quite cheap considering all you get.

DG2 and the new DG1 upgrades are not included if you just buy the game on Steam
