I only tried the multiplayer briefly, but the people I did talk to, were all very helpful - like they want people to understand the game and keep playing it. It does have a steep learning curve, you'll probably wish it had one of those old-school keyboard overlays, you'll wish that Razor or Logitech made a keyboard especially for it. But, once you get your controller setup, and a basic understanding of the keyboard controls, it's one fascinating game. All this talk makes me want to give it another go... maybe we should start an Apollo clan

.
The actual multiplayer gameplay seems to be exactly the same as the single player - just seems to get on with it for more players, very slick.

Health, Ammo, and bacon and eggs!
