Hi all, I entered a remix contest over at Indaba Music and would appreciate your feedback and vote (if you think I deserve it). I would love to know what you think of the song regardless.

I posted this over in the music forum a while back and no one commented.

Thanks!

What are you talking about? You have some good comments on there. I like the idea of commenting on parts of the waveform.

I basically live under a rock so I hadn't heard this song before but I liked your remix, if the vocals were a touch out of sync. I preferred the top remix but yours isn't far off if you match it up better.

Shh... you're pretty.

It sounds great! I haven't heard the original, but I like yours. What did you use to make it?

Vocals are slightly off key (and timing is off), other than that, awesome.

If you want I have access to melodyne and can put them in key for you.

Oops, I completely forgot about this post. I lost the contest, but that's OK. It was a fun remix.

I meant that no one from the DB Music Discussion forum commented.

Jeku, I made it in FL Studio, mostly with Sytrus and DirectWave. I prefer FL Studio over other DAWs because of its simplicity.

I don't know if my sense of timing is bad or what...I have listened to the vocals more closely and they don't sound that out of sync. As as far as the pitch goes, I didn't change it from the original.

Thanks for the comments.

Lemonade, LOVED IT. Sounds a lot like the new Passion Pit album. Very happy and bouncy. It's a good thing. I like that the vocals occasionally slip out a tad. It seems more like syncopation than poor matching. I like how it changes the timing and character of the piece a bit. Listened to it a few times now, and it just gets better!

Great job!

Without knowing the original song I can't really comment on the amount of remix that you've done to it. It sounds well put together, but its definitely not a song I can listen to.
