Hey guys, I have just downloaded Cosmic Prophet's Pirate Pack as well as its bonus pack. The thing is, I was trying to get it's sword and the bonus pack has files thats allows you to use the pirate sword as a weapon. THen I found that I still cannot use the sword as a weapon as it dosent showup on the entity weapon's section.

Digging through the files of the pack, I find that the pirate pack's entity bank has nothing for the sword. I know that this model pack is released years ago but does anyonw remember if they had the same problem? Would anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

As far as I remember there is actually no pick-up entity for the sword (not 100% sure, maybe I missed something)

The only ways to use it are to
a) equip it through the "weapon" entry in the player starting marker (the green one)
b) give it to the player through a script

There are two swords in the pack- one is an entity only (located in Props), and the other was a weapon that can be assigned to either character or player. The weapon did not have a pickup, and therefore is not the same one as the "props" sword.

However, I did make a pickup myself for the pirate sword weapon using a copy of the pirate sword entity prop. I've attached to this post in case anyone wants a "pickup" for the weapon.

Ok, I followed the advice I got from the last two posts and it worked!

Unfortunately, I found two new roadblocks that I would like some help with:

1) When I press the fire button, the sword swings and then the game stops. I get a message saying "Runtime error 3001- sound number illegal at line 12889". I believe this has to do with the .wav sound files but it already has a fire.wav and a retrieve .wav. I have encountered a similar problem before (This one had no fire.wav files at all) but has not been resolved as of late, I have made a previous topic here:

2) What is even stranger is that every time I put an entity character AND arm my player character with the sword or henry ham's katana, the game does not load when it tries loading the entity character. I get this message : "Runtime error 105-file does not exist at line 18204" . It feels like the FPS Creator itself does not like melee weapons at all...
