I'm not a big fan of these nor do I want to annoy but do we have any status updates for AppGameKit for bug fixes? Outside of 3D which I don't care about at the moment. I don't want to go 6 months again which I believe is the unanimous vote here.
Thanks.

1080 should come out mid-september with new functions and bug fixes from the bug board.

it seems that html5 is on the way too. one question: what happened to agk java? not that i need it, but just want to confirm that it was scrapped and that html5 is the way for the future!!!

Java and Javascript are nothing at all the same thing!!!

One is a 'standalone' programming language (Java), the other is a programming language that only works in web browsers (and not even the same way in all of them).

Yes - AL - I do know that. But Java on its own doesn't seem to bring much to the party as far as AppGameKit goes.

Other than running on just about every operating system out there of course.

There was mention that they would do a Java version first then an HTML5 version later.

We have not seen the Java version yet. I was just asking if it was scrapped.

Ubuntu, Mint, and Debian would be good. Especially considering they're the largest Linux distros.

Basically, a generic Linux development would be nice (there are quite a few people with Linux systems).

Since AppGameKit is based on an open graphics library, one that is available in Linux, as long as the Linux AppGameKit libraries stick with generic C/C++, there should not be a need for Linux flavor specific AppGameKit libraries.

I don't know if the accelerometer might be an issue. I suspect that might be very platform/flavor specific on Linux tablets (there are some).

I want to be able to run my games on my brand new Raspberry pi ! I guess HTML would do. The best would be if I could just boot up an AppGameKit player, and select what games to run, then it would be a perfect gaming console.

Java would be fine, Tier 2(if AppGameKit is programmed the right way) would be better. HTML5 would be iffy at best I think.
