My slap got me what I think I deserved... Though I didn't admit it at the time, then I was dwelling on the inaccuracy of the ban page thingy, but my intentions of what I was going to use those second and third accounts for had pretty poor ethics.

Sadly I believe my ban was due to a mod (innocently) misunderstanding my post, and then me misunderstanding their reply to that...

@BatVink You do know I was joking about my anti mod group thing, right? It seems I got banned because you didn't think so.

@theComet Well, you did kinda take over greenpavel's thread along with a couple other people.

Yay.

I was actually going to jokingly ask a mod in my last post if they would check but I thought it'd be a waste of their time. But thanks for checking! Now my curiosity is satisfied.

I just got slapped today

For double posting a little too much... my bad...

But BiggAdd weas awesome enough to inform me, I thanked him for it, all good

Just wanted to share this as I wanted to share a positive encounter with a mod, and I think it was not the first time he slapped me, I believe the last time he also informed me, Can someone confirm if it was biggAdd last time? I want to double thank him for being courteour, he is awesome!

I mean that!, I do not want to share any past experiences from my life, but just want to say I appreciate anybody telling me I did wrong.

Why is this thread still open?

Quote: "if you are above 18 you are"

So, whenever someone under 18 posts their age, it gets omitted with a mod edit saying "don't post your age," but people over 18 can post? So, it's sort of like a boolean system now. That doesn't seem very secure to me.

Anyway, I think this thread should be locked. There's no reason for it to be open anymore.

I was under the impression it was a way to annoy moderators. If you guys don't care though, I suppose I shouldn't.

Not necessarily the thread itself, but where it's going. There are a lot of random posts in here that simply aren't on topic. Seeing as how the issue has been resolved (or am I mistaken?) I just don't think there's much of a point anymore. But, if the moderators don't care, I don't either.

Well yes, tis resolved but I don't think batvink knows I was joking in that post of mine about the anti mod group. But that's ok.

As far as I understand, that's how it is - if youre above legal age you can post your age, if youre below it you cant - i dont necessarily see a problem with that though, makes me treat everyone as adults - I have no desire to know anyones age to begin with..

Quik, if the purpose is to prevent others from targeting children, then it doesn't do so. If someone attempts to post their age, their post is edited with a message saying "Don't post your age," which indicates the person posting is a child. I agree though, I don't really have a desire to know how old people are anyway. (Note: my definition of child is anyone below 18 years old.)

Cheers,
Aaron

Yeah mods should really wipe those posts out altogether (or edit them to remove any sign of age), and slap em so they don't do it again.

I do agree with that, it does seem quite controversial /(HOWEVER THATS SPELLED)\ to keep the posts, under "dont post ur age" or the like.

Quik, controversial is the correct spelling. Sometimes the spell checker lies for a few common words for me, and I double check with Google and a dictionary. However, the spell checker isn't saying controversial is spelled incorrectly for me.

Wrench >> Settings >> Show advanced settings >> Languages >> languages and spell checker settings.

Then just choose your language if it's in the list, if not, click "add" just below the list.

I should, but I just can't seem to get the staff these days. I should have them all executed, except the guy who told me he's Swedish, he gets to live.

Glad to see I am somewhat observant.

I don't know how many of you are familiar with bash.org, but here's a quote that fits the topic:

My point is that it's pretty easy to estimate the age of a forum user just by looking at their choice of words, grammar, replies to cunning jokes or remarks and overall way they type.

It appears as if no longer serves its purpose... We need a new set of emoticons!!!

I was joking in my last message I understood it clearly...

Yeah it is totally easy to recognise youthanism on the web especially if you have played multiplayer FPS games online... Like CS : S and Battlefield... They are so evident...

If you're claiming that based on what I said then that's just because I assumed you understood the joke by posting the smiley and I chose to ignore it. My intentions were not to "correct" you or anything, I know you understood it, I just wanted to extend on what I said in my previous post.

[EDIT] I just made an obscure reference to the film "The Shining" and laughed way too much about it.

Sorry for going off topic, here's the reference:

You needed to be... "corrected"... By "corrected" he means to kill them with an axe Seriously, read the book. It's really scary and I loved it (I can imagine Quik being interested in it if he hasn't read it already).

lol...

I should add that I have removed flash from my pc, but kept flash for other browsers so it still works in FF...

I did this to resolve an issue with the forum, even removed flash from my Android SGSII but the issue remains... might be some scripting issue not sure...

anyhoo... those movies are just plain wrong lol... though I recall bits of it but prefer to forget them...
