hey there i can help
goto computer
goto program files, tgc , x10 files
click on entity bank
find your tree file
open the fpe file

should look similar to this

desc = your tree
;ai
aiinit = appear2.fpi
aimain = default.fpi
aidestroy = disappear1.fpi

;spawn
spawnmax = 0
spawndelay = 0
spawnqty = 0

;orientation

model = your tree.x
offx = 0
offy = 0
offz = 0
rotx = 0
roty = 0
rotz = 0
defaultstatic = 1
materialindex = 4
collisionmode = 1

;visualinfo

textured = your tree.dds
effect =
castshadow = 0

just copy this and it should set you up ( copy to fpe file or just make a new one using this as a template, i hit this snag a while ago. also make sure in the file your texture should be dds format not jpeg or tga but dds. you can get free program to do this, ie paint.net or gimp, both free and both can change the format

hope this helps

an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!
