I often use INK rgb(0,0,0),rgb(0,0,0) for coloring text. The first value colors the letters and the second should be background ink but I have never seen it change anything when fiddling with it? What excactly does it do?

Try changing the colour to something other than black... When using a black background...

I would advise on the use of Advanced 2D plgins text features... I was very reluctant to start using the community plugins for the past 2 years as I wanted to understand how the ones I purchased worked first... I now have Matrix1Utils installed not used much aside from with DarkOcclusions... but intend to utilise it once I get around to its vastness... and also I now have Advanced 2D installed too... and because it is so important to my projects... the XBOX 360 plugin which allows use of the vibration feedback with great effect...

let me know if you need any direction with these... I have many more community plugins to tap into yet...

but yeah, many people tell me the OPAQUE command can slow your application down... if you do notice slight changes in FPS as your game gets complex, try turning off the text functions and try A2D[Advanced 2D] as a substiture, it is nice that it can wrap text! as well as ebed fonts I believe...

hope this all helps...
