I don't trust roller coasters at all anymore and I don't care what anyone says. I'd rather be on the ground over being strapped into a tonne of metal that could easily derail and send you to your death, or leave you hanging upside down on a loop for hours.

I have no problem with planes though.

Someone saw Final Destination 3.

Ever considered that the entire point of a rollercoaster is to be scared and have the situation out of your control?

I've seen most of those films, but its other things I've heard and seen elsewhere. If it was solely Final Destination that put me off, I don't think I would get on a plane, but I have and its no different than getting in a car for me.

I know what the point of roller coasters are, I would much rather get that feeling elsewhere, rather than pancake into the concrete because of a problem with the ride xD.

I just don't like not having control and roller coasters take that away more so than most things IMO.

Don't planes do exactly that? Take all of the control away from you? Also, being scared of roller coasters, you should die of a heart attack at the thought of getting in a car. Statistics!

Of course, we all have our fears, whether or not they are rational. I certainly do.

I can get up when ever I want though, I'm not forcibly strapped down for 18 hours while I fly to China, I can escape at any point xD

Anyway, I said roller coasters take control away more than other things.
