Anyone got experience of either tablet? Let me know about your thoughts, pros and cons. Just got full time work for the rest of the year and have money to spend

While I don't have either specifically, I know someone who has the Asus. He loves it to bits, and apparently the battery built into the keyboard is a godsend for keeping it running.

if the options are only both of those, then i might go with Samsung Galaxy tablet.
their touch screen technology are the best.
also they got more experiance on tablets than Asus. Samsung got more tablet and smartphone products than asus too.

Yeah, I would normally have said Samsung anyway. When I worked in Electrical Retail, Samsung and Panasonic were two brands that felt like they always held a decent level of quality, at the lowest. Samsung's Android tech is also pretty class-leading.

I'd read up a good few reviews on either, though. There may be quirks or pros with either tablet that push you in one direction.

The Note have the S-pen, 3G, cheaper, 2GB RAM, dual front speakers and "multitasking".

The Infinity have the keyboard, a better screen, more built in storage, a better camera, higher build quality, HDMI.

Really can't decide

Read any user reviews?

Where will you use it, what apps will you put on it, and how will you use it?

If you're scared to take out in public, in case of weather or theft, then 3G is normally irrelevant. If you use headphones all the time, speakers are also probably irrelevant.

And then it depends whether you want the laptop/tablet idea, or just a pure tablet.

I got a asus transformer pad a while back... While I kind of regret it because I have realised that a tablet is like a small computer or big phone, I would still recommend ot to people getting a tablet. Its really fast and has a good screen (allthough the colors are a bit lacking). The keyboard dock is pretty usefull to.

Another big advantage is the tegra 3 CPU. A lot of top notch games are optimised for it abd some are even T3 exclusive...

I must say that 3G is a pretty strong selling point. Otherwise I would have to set up my phone as a hotspot. I am unsure of how useful the pen will be or how much I will type on it. I do have a laptop and a netbook already, although the netbook is in need of replacement. I don't use headphones so speakers are also important. I have read a few reviews on both but nothing that really helps me.

The keyboard has its advantages with extra battery life and something to hold it for watching movies. But I am leaning towards the Note due to 3G, price and the pen. I also feel that the speakers would be great. Both for movies and games.

It seems like the Samsung will be great for you, then. There are tablet stands out there for the purposes of setting it down for a longer movie, or leaving it to play music while giving the rear speakers room to breath.

The speakers themselves will depend on your taste in such things. Often, I've found Samsung to be a little lacking at the low-end, especially on small electronics where speakers have that inherent problem anyway.

But you'd find that with any tablet. There are headphone jack speaker options if you find the built-ins lacking, and to be fair, I doubt the Samsung will disappoint. I have a Galaxy Ace, and for a cheap-as-chips, low-budget smartphone, it does well for what you pay for it.

The problem with a stand is that they are not as convenient as the transformer keyboard. Haven't seen what kind of cover options are available for the Note though. Seen the keyboardstand for it.

The Note is the only tablet with stereo speakers as far as I know. And they are positioned on the front, not on the side.

The keyboard is pretty good for a stand. Speakers on the front would be pretty usefull to. I never understood why they keep putting them just where you hold your hand.
