Thought you guys might be interested.

Quote: "It's 32 years since a video game was first blessed with the power of speech.

1980's Stratovox, a relatively poor hybrid of Space Invaders and Galaga, featured precisely three phrases from its human characters: "Help Me", "Very Good" and "We'll Be Back".

They sounded like a Dalek, in a tin bucket, broadcasting on long-wave radio during an electrical storm.

These days, the acting in video games has come on leaps and bounds. The biggest-budget titles use the same motion-capture technology as Hollywood films like Lord Of The Rings and Avatar to scan human performances and replicate them on screen.

Big franchises like Uncharted, The Sims, Far Cry, Mario Kart and Call Of Duty make their way into hundreds of millions of homes. If the actors were working in any other medium, they would be household names.

We spoke to three of the industry's most in-demand performers to find out how they started, and what it feels like to be a pixelated pin-up."

I think recently, a few major voice actors have started to get more of the attention they deserve. People like Jen Taylor and Tara Strong, for example.

Only because they're women and they both happen to be pretty hot. Get real!

Well Nolan North is a man and I'd say one of the best known/liked voice actors for games. I can't comment on whether or not he is 'pretty hot', though

I really like "Martin Keßler"... the german voice for Nicholas Cage.

He is just adding the little extra to the characters He really shined as Kain in the Blood Omen Series.

I had no clue who she were until MLP - however, considering ALL the stuff she's made, i wouldnt say "more attention than she deserves"..

Interesting to see who voiced some of the older games, it's only recently that I realised that Eric Idle, Tony Robinson and Rob Brydon did voices in Discworld and Simon the Sorcerer was voiced by Chris Barrie. Kinda obvious now when you think about it.

Here's one I was surprised to find out, the voice actor for George Stobbart in the Broken Sword series (Rolf Saxon) is also the narrator for Teletubbies. He was also in 1984, not a major role mind you.
