haha, now it'll be impossible to test your game for normal users

But it should be fun.

Visit my blog http://www.canales.me. Also yes I changed my name. It was time for a change.

I have the same CPU. What are you using to cool it for the overclocking?

Did you spend over £1500 on that? If so, what bank did you rob?

Nahh jk, it's a beast of a machine. I am jealous of you.

Oh come on. We're trying to talk with sigs here and you rudely interrupt.

I'm not sure that having such a rig would affect game testing per say, but I'm not 100% sure. Most rigs are fairly high powered these days

I use a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro2 cooler for my 4.6Ghz OC (not 4.5, my mistake)

The PC wasn't just for FPSC, but for simply wanting to have some of the fastest hardware on the plantet

CPU : PHENOM X6 1090T BE @ 4.1GHZ| MOBO: CROSSHAIR IV FORMULA|
RAM: 16GB CORSAIR XMS3 DDR3 | GPU:2 x XFX 6970 2GB CROSSFIRE| 250 GB SSD| PSU:XFX 650W BLACK EDITION |CASE: NZXT PHANTOM

CoZ, I'm rocking a Dell from '06 as my gaming rig...and I know many people who have worse.

AMD Athlon Dual-Core 5000+ at 2.1Ghz,
4.5Gb DDR2 RAM,
Geforce 9600GT,
320Gb HDD.

I am therefore very jelly of you rig. Also, my wifi card's antenna is taped to the back of the case because it snapped. My Dell's motherboard and such is mounted on the left side of the case, with it opening on the right. So when I installed my GPU, I had to hammer the bit of metal at the back to bend the other way.

After a while, it started to rattle from the GPU. I realised that the quite large fan was hitting one of the bridges on the motherboard, (one with the heatsink, is that South?)

I then took a hacksaw to the heatsink, and cut half the teeth off it. Still rattling. I looked at the fan to see that hitting the heatsink had cracked it across the center of the fan, meaning it was useless...even after superglue.

So I glued a CPU fan onto the GPU heatsink, and rigged it to a spare terminal next to the CPU. (Messed up solder on the GPU one.)

So my PC is held together by glue and happy thoughts right now. xD

Finally got a few pictures together after I picked my jaw up off the floor. One was taken within borderlands 2, and the other was of the insane 4.5Ghz overclock at such low voltage (Rock Solid stable in Prime95 for 24 hours).

Next up on the chopping block.....Crysis....

I knew I should of resized the pictures. I would also just like to announce that I have now gone tri-fire with the 7970's (also sent my PSU back for a 1.2KW unit)

My aim is to bend Crysis 3 over a desk when it is released, and teach it a lesson!!

IIRC FPSC only actually uses 2 gigs of your RAM, right? So the other RAMs are a little redundant.

I just built myself a new system less than a week ago and I was fighting with myself so bad, trying not to start one of these threads but.. since someone already did it for me!

NASA won't be calling me to borrow my system but, here it is.

Case: NZXT 210
MB: Asus M5A97
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition
Cooler: CM 212 Evo
RAM: 16G (2 X 8G) G-Skill Ares
GPU: Asus DirectCU GTX 650
PSU: Rosewill HIVE 650W
Storage: 320G WD Blue , 1T WD Green

Runs everything I need flawlessly!

Still on my shopping list:
Monitor and SSD(s)

Not a dream machine, but it is a major upgrade for me coming from my "other" computer, that is now sitting lonely on my bedroom floor, AMD Athlon II Dual Core, 4G Ram, Radeon HD4550. I almost feel bad for it, it looks so sad. lol
I do plan on re-purposing it as a file server though, so it will still get used.

Look at Mushkin SSDs. I have one and an OCZ, the mushkin beats the pants off the OCZ in the HDTune benchmarks.

I paid around $1300 for my current system, although if I wasn't lazy I could have claimed at least $100 or more in rebates.

CPU: i7-3770K
MB: ASUS P8Z77-V LK
RAM: G.Skill 16GB Sniper Gaming Series
GPU: EVGA GeForce 560 GTX (2GB)
PSU: Seasonic X750 Gold
HDD: 240GB Mushkin Enhanced Chronos Deluxe SSD / 120GB OCZ Agility 3

WEI:
Processor: 7.7
Memory: 7.7
Graphics: 7.1
Primary HD: 7.9

What's your guys' WEI look like?

Thanks for that tip. Actually, while doing my shopping around, reading and watching reviews I kept seeing Mushkin getting mentioned for RAM and SSD(s). From those that use them swear by them but, I wasn't familiar with the brand myself. Everyone knows G-Skill so I decided to go with them.

As for SSD(s) I could see that kingston was getting some pretty good reviews... I shop around forever before I decide to checkout, so only time will tell what I actually get.

Since everyone is adding there WEI..

[WEI]
Processor: 7.4
RAM: 7.5
Graphics: 7.4
Gaming: 7.4
Primary Disk: 5.9 ...That's a whammy right there that's why I am looking into SSD(s)

Honestly I think I could get my CPU and RAM points up if I was able to keep the RAM at 1600.. I've tried all kinds of manual tweaks, even the ones suggested on the G-Skill forums and this system just doesn't like them at 1600, my MB (Asus M5A97) keeps flipping them down to around 1400. My next step is to start looking around the OC forums and see if I can find someone that paired the same CPU and RAM I have and see what they came up with.
