there are thousands of Chinese android tablets nowadays.

Save your money and just get a nexus7. It's the best selling android tablet and the price is very good.

Stay away from Chinese knock off's, they are cheaper, but generally they suck. I would definitely look at the Nexus 7. My 2 cents.

I would also look into the nexus 7, the tegra 3 processor can do amazing things...

I like my Nexus 7. It works well and feels good in the hands (very similar to a small iPad).

Well, to be honest it depends on how big his pocketbook is.. Some people may think a Nexus is a little pricey and are looking for a better bargain. I doubt it is half the spec of a nexus after all.
Here is one a friend of mine has ordered, I am hoping it will run AppGameKit a little better than the other cheap single core tablet I tried a few months ago.

Thanks guys, I went ahead and purchased one out of curiosity and so far I am finding the wifi a bit lacking in range, also battery life is not so hot at about 6 hours other than that not too shabby.

I will buy a Nexus on thier next incarnation for battery charge holding, which might not be long who knows
