I downloaded some nice looking spirits for a game but they are in like tileset form i don't know how to insert a picture so i won't =( but anyhow i want to take one type of ship off that tile set and use it in my game but i don't know if i should make one seperate .bmp for each of the ships for like turning and stuff =\ erm its hard to explain

now see thats the picture so anyhow how wouldi take each of the ship turning and stuff and just display one of those when the player presses left or right ect...

Turn the grid on in your art package, set the grid to 16*16 or 32*32 make a selection around either all of the ships, or 1 at a time, and paste them into their own window. Now save them. If you save them all in one go then you can write a routine to grab them of a bitmap because they a evenly spaced, and easy to grab.

Edit: Edit: I've seen those sprites before somewhere.

yeah i'v found them on some website the guy made them and used them in his own games called like disastriods 2 which is a better version of astriods =P

sprites are movable 2d images in a game

It's a stange mistake to make being as you have to type the word sprites into the editor to get them to work.

are you using DBP? if you are you can get just one image and use rotate sprite it works in real time(no slow down)

if you need to get each picture that first row starting point is 45,358 and there 30x30 pictures.

No mocking intended.
