Hi
I've created a simple wall
Add texture to it.
Used segment editor to create .fps file
Ran FPSC
But, when I added the new wall segement it comes our dark, no mesh or texture is added to FPSC

Any ideas?

Got it.

The mesh folder was not copied over to fpsc

Put .x, .fps, .dds or .tga in one folder. Open .fps file. Type name of your .x object before model without path like this.
meshname0 = Your Model Name.x

Type name of your texture file before texture without path like this.
texture0 = Your Model Texture Name.dds (or .tga)

See if it works or not

Good Luck

Try taking an exsisting FPE file. swap your .x Each section i.e. wall floor ceiling will have a section in the FPE script. Just place your x file the the correct spots. Change the texture files as well. It's the long way but it's worth trying.

Another thing do you have shaders turned on or off?

Also its a segment not an entity (.fps) and files dont all go into same folder for these. The TGC segment editor works just fine.

If your going to do these by hand using existing .fps you got your work cut out, there are many other lines you would need to change unless your segment uses exactly the same parts/shaders and modes etc.
