I'm having a lot of trouble trying to compile my project for android, I can't download all the files because my internet is slow, they are online installers, and my computer crashes every few hours. So I can't download them on another computer, and if I download them onto my computer, It crashes before the download is finished. It seems to me that the easiest way to compile for android is by importing your project onto freedom-engine.com, But my project is more then 10Mb and more then 4000 lines of code (it's 22Mb and 5000 lines), So I can't use the free account, and I don't really want to pay $5.00 a month when I already bought AppGameKit, I will if I have to, but is there any other way I can compile it?

This may sound daft, but find a friend with a better connection, download the files, put them on a pen drive and then copy to your computer...

That would work, but some of them are online installers (such as cygwin), so you download the small installer (about 500Kb), then run it, and it download all of the few hundred Mb's onto your computer and then installs it. This means that you can't download it from another computer, unfortunatly.

You could switch to Pascal. Doesn't need cygwin!

I use cygwin myself, so am not 100% sure, but from what I have read here you can actually use eclipse instead for those cygwin compile steps. So it may be possible to avoid it altogether.
Also I believe they dropped the 4000 line limit now, it is still limited to 10mb though. Perhaps you could use eclipse with a trimmed down project and then get the app to download the bulk of game data after it is installed?

Cygwin has a compile limit of 4000 lines of code and 10mb?

I doubt that. I think that applies to using the online Freedom Engine to compile and build apks and stuff.

I agree with Ancient Loveliness. Cygwin is a Unix shell for Windows. It knows nothing about compiles.

Exactly why Cygwin is needed at all defeats me. I don't have it, and I can produce APKs out of Eclipse with no problems. I would like to make the AppGameKit for Pascal do what Monkey and others do, which is use Ant to compile the APK, and not even need Eclipse at all.

I think that's a good idea DVader, I could reprogram the app so it downloads all the files from a server if they don't exist, then delete some of the files, so it's less then 10Mb's. Then I could compile it with FE.

I've finished reprogramming it, (only tested it on localhost with xampp so far).
Isn't that a bit ironic though, I hate online installers with a passion, but I'm doing it that way anyhow
