Hey!

today I installed the latest AppGameKit Version (V108) to check out the new 3D features when I recognized that the help does not work.

I reinstalled V107, but there is still no help, although there is a folder called "Help" in the AppGameKit directory. It does not work by hitting F1 or going directly over the menu to help.

Can someone help me?

Did you do a complete uninstall before you installed v1085? Or did you install over the old v1076?

And, then did you completely uninstall v1085 before installing v1076 again?

If you didn't do uninstalls before installs, it can confuse things.

It is completely doable to install two versions side by side. All you need to do is specify a different directory. I have my v1076 in C:\TGC\AGK and then I put versions v1082 thru v1085 in C:\TGC\AGK1082, C:\TGC\AGK1083, etc..

And the really cool thing is that no matter which one you open, it shows the same set of projects that were added/loaded in another version of AGK. This comes in handy when testing one version against another (remembering to rebuild in each AppGameKit, of course).

Cheers,

I installed v108 over v107 but before reinstalling v107 I completely uninstalled agk and removed the folder.

When I click on "help" it just doees not do anything.

Now I put a link to the home.htm from the help folder on my desktop, I hope I will get along with that.

What happens if you place your cursor somewhere inside an AppGameKit command (e.g., SetVirtualResolution or SetDisplayAspect) and press F1? This should open up the help to the particular command, with the exception core language components (data types, etc.) If the cursor isn't within or immediately after an AppGameKit command then F1 won't do anything.

When I place the cursor in a command and press F1, nothing happens.

Maybe it's because of my browser? I am using chrome.

/edit:
Problem solved, my browser was not set as standard for all actions (especially *.htm). After changing this in the control panel the help works fine. thank you.
