Time I gave something back. Here are two hand lanterns for those dark areas in your levels. One lighthouse style hand lantern & one box style. Hands are stock from ww2 guns folder.

Box & Hand Lantern

Box Lantern for those dark corners

Hand Lantern for creepy hallways.

As for the script, the keyed flashlight script in a trigger works great.I used mine with weapons and the plrcurrentweapon condition.

Of course you'll have to adjust the script for any weapons you might use.

Big thanks to Corno_1 & Flatlander for thier help with script and hands.

That's pretty awesome. I think it needs a shader or some sort of modification. The glass of the first one doesn't look a lot like glass. My visualisation of a lantern is a glowing bright yellow light source. But anyway, these are still great.

@Burger Absolutely needs a shader of some kind.I just couldn't get anything to work properly.Any and all help is appreciated!

@Warrior Studio Thank you, just use your imagination with the scripts.

@Killj0y17 Learning to use Hexagon2,then clean it up some in Milkshape.I go back and forth at times.

Note: did just discover the new "Flashlight" added to the lastest
updates does not work well with segments that have an .fx effect applied.Other wise works great

These look great, and a nice little addition to our media collections.

Thank you for the contribution.

Thank You Scene Commander, and your welcome.

Yes right now I cant find a shader that works well with the "Flashlight". Open to suggestions.

Well a shader came to mind. It was when I was reading through Uzi Idiot's post processing pack, Uzi Idiot released a shader called bumpentillum.fx. Not sure if this is unique or not but anyway I used it on the lantern. Then I modified the texture so a. the lantern is yellow and b. the whole thing is much darker (except for the yellow, which is meant to be bright). Here is the result:

The main reason for darkening the textures is because when using that shader everything glows. Also, I haven't done the second one because . . . well I wouldn't know how. Its not exacly and glowing lantern and might require a shader far more advanced.

Hi Burger You read my mind. I was just at Uzi Idiot's post processing post and grabbed the fx. Yours has a nice glow to it.
So you darken the texture? I lightened mine.

But yes, this fx you'll want to use. Also the "Flashlight" seems to react with it abit?

I darkened the texture because when I walked near a light source my arm glowed and was waaay too bright.

Awsome! Is there any script to light up the area around the player in 1.19? That would be cool
