I dunno, I have always been aware of some sort of legalities with recreating these games... amusement parks have monopolies of some sort on coin dozer type games, but I dunno maybe that has all changed over the years...

But this looks good, obviously lots of room for improvement

Well, having a lawyer in my family, i always ask this sort of problems before launching a game.
We can say that if the app isn't for earning and giving back money, you can do a simulator, just for fun.
This is why i add the name "Simulator" in the app name.

Anyway, i had some problems with names in the past, but the software houses the first time ask you with gentle to change the name or something.
You do it and you are ok!

Well i develop only for Apple so Mac / iOS
I done a new functions that automatically calculate the iphone 5 size for sprite and buttons.
So iPhone5 / 4 / 3 and iPod and iPad and Mac.

I decided to complete this game first (i'm working on 7 games) cause slots and card games always earn something.

Ah i forget to say that when you paint all manually and don't get the graphic from the original slot or video poker, there is no law problems.
On this slot i done also the graphic and was very hard to do all alone.

For your based kit i suggest a mac mini but buy 8Gb of ram on your own.
I changed the original ones with the TeamGroup for Mac.

They are very cheap memory, but very good.

This looks really good Gekko. I've always wanted to do my own Fruit Machine simulator as it takes me back to my college years when we used to spend most of our lunch time (and some classes ) in the local bookies trying to win some extra cash!

I'd be interested to know how you have worked out chances of winning etc. Do you have each reel set up to spin in a particular fruit based on probability, or is it just 100% random? I would love to create a modern Fruit Machine simulator which takes in to account how much it has been played, recent payouts etc etc... That would most definately be no small feat though!!

Well, the % system is usually 85% to 95% and is not random.
There are 3 types of calculating it:
- Partially
- Total
- Bonuses (Min 20000 - Max 100000)

Let we say is 85%... and we played 1000 coins...and the slot earned from you 10000

You must check if the partial is about the 85% of the played coins (850)
You must check if the total is about 85% of the total coins played (8500)
You must check if is the time for bonus, so if the slot earned too much to release the current bonus

For the bonus is easy, you make it choose the right symbol for the bonus.
For example if you have the lemon that gives 20000 and a melon that give 50000 and the bonus must give 40000 the machine will choose the lemon....

Another good random mode is the total random when over 85% of all and bonus is not ready.
In this way the machine will seem more random.

I will upload a video in some minutes so you can see how this machine work.
