this is a game micky4fun and i have been working on (for quite a while) over at the playbasic forums. It includes source code and a lot of discussion about the design of the game. i thought you guys might find it useful. there are some videos too if you just want to see it running. it's still very much a work in progress and we're having a lot of fun making it.

Really nice visuals on this, is there a video?, I'd like to see how it plays as well.

I got a fever, and the only prescription, is more memes.

There's no problem that can't be solved without applying a little scripting.

I like the look of this. The fox is a bit stiff though. He would look better with a more flexible body.

I just downloaded and played this game and here is my review:

I like the artistic style that you used for this game, it's easy on the eyes and has a very soft appearance which is rare in titles released these days.

I think the speed at which everything moves is a bit sluggish, I think a good speed for the fish would be perfect at about x.5 the current speed.

The main character is my biggest issue with this release. The fox is way to sterile, lacking in animation, speed and character. The jump dynamics are a bit off as well. The slow rise to apex and then the equal fall speed from the apex is very sluggish. I also think the height of the jump should be increased just a tad considering that boxes that appear to be just out of reach.

Other than that I think this is a good game and am looking forward to seeing your further development on it.

Cheers,
Dave

Looks like Tails!

I just played it, pretty cool. Only gripe I have is the gravity seems a little strong. Jumping/falling is just too sudden.
