I have modelled and animated a title logo in Blender.

Let me know what you think of it.

The modelling was fairly easy, the hard part was rendering (took nearly 3.5 hours) plus, syncing the audio up with Blenders video editor is not the easiest!

Sweet!

But I feel the boom effect is a little undertone... maybe dirty it up

See what I mean? I am going to try mimicking these effects in my music editor soon...

I know what you mean about the deep sound. I might take it back and add a little grit to it.

Can't believe you put that awesome advert on my thread making my little video look poop now!

...you are doing something extremely inefficiently if this takes almost 4 hours.

-Mental Hybrid: A unique heavy story based shoot'em ~40% (primary project)
-CoreFleet: An underground commander unit based RTS (canned) ~15%

The modelling, texturing and animating took very little time at all. It was the rendering that took a long time.

Is there a more efficient way to render 240 frames at 1080?

I like the vid. I'm not a fan of the few blue particles, however. I'd say add some more smaller ones, or get rid of them altogether.

Also, you could probably get away with a smaller render. 640x480 would be fine for a logo splash like this. You could stretch it to full screen, but I think it would also look good smaller and centered.

I like the effect going on in the forming of "Productions." You might could slow it down a bit to show it off. I missed it the first couple times.

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

@zeroslave

I was thinking of increasing the birth rate of the particles, but, i found it to be too overpowering.

I also tried it without the particles and it feels like it is missing something.

I like the idea of having a smaller render! I didn't think to place it central. Might take a look at it.

I do need to make the word productions stay around a little longer! It appears, then goes before you know what's happened!

Thanks for the comments.

I like the particles, however, I'd say to add them behind your actual logo rather than in front of it. It may actually give you the ability to increase the birthrate slightly

Hi xCatalyst,

I have removed the particles as mentioned above and have made the word productions clearer.

@Mr Valentine,

I did try to make the sound a bit grittier, but, i didn't like the changes. I felt it didn't really go.

Any thoughts on the newer version?

I use Fruity Loops. I know the software inside out i have been using it for that long, so, its really easy for me to just fire it up and get what i need out of it.

What are you using?
