I'm using the stock corpse entity, lying on an autopsy table, but don't like the fact that it uses an entity material index.

When a bullet hits the corpse, at the moment, bits fly off it as if it's made of wood. What I'd like is for it to use a blood decal instead of a material index.

I've tried comparing entities with characters, and editing the corpse's .fpe file, but with no success.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Try changing the current FPE file to a characters FPE file.

You will have to change a few of the values in it and leave the main script line empty (no script).

This might work but I'm sure there must be an easier way to do it out there somewhere.

Good Luck.

Thanks ross. I did try changing some of the lines in the corpse's .fpe file, to match what I thought were the correct lines in a character's .fpe file, but to no effect.

However, I didn't go as far as changing the whole .fpe file to a character's .fpe file. I guess I'll try that next...

You are aware that you can assign a blooddecal to a materialindex?

In "audiobank/materials" there is a text file with all the materials. Add one or edit one to use the blooddecal.

I haven't tried that yet but it should work
