So if you call yourself a business then you can do whatever you like without consequence?

"My Gran got mugged the other day."
"Really! Did you call the police?"
"Oh no it was done by Muggers Inc."
"Oh that's okay then, they ARE a business after all."

MS haven't mugged me yet but they might well do, I've heard of them continuing to charge for Gold Membership even with the auto-renew disabled. At the moment they are being the kid in the playground who is refusing to give me my ball back. Is it illegal? No. Are they being a-holes? YES!

Not entirely sure what you mean by that. The credit card is attached to an Xbox Live account, not a console. As long as the account is removed from the Xbox (preferably through a factory reset) you can resell your Xbox with no issue. If you are reselling your account, you are probably a moron.

I've used cloud saves on my Xbox. I have not been charged for doing so, unless you count the XBL subscription itself (which I *assume* you need for the cloud save option).

Absolutely, I can call myself a business and do what I want... so as long as most customers continue to pay... If they really hate being made frustrated by me then why are they paying for my service? Heck I'll set up a horse burger restaurant if people want to pay for it; football players earn more money than the prime minister because people want to pay to see them run and kick.

@Chris Tate - You're being facetious. I am obviously talking about malpractice but you're trying to twist that into an argument against free enterprise.

Facetious, realistic.

That's just the way it is.

If a company were to loose a significant amount of sales due to complaints over policies; it would be wise for them to change the rules. But if the consensus is that the service is a good service, it makes no real sense to pay a group of people to spend time researching and changing policies all over a couple 100 emailed complaints; when over 40 million people are quite happy with things.

With the P$4 to be 'worrying' about, I think that the emphasis of is on their Xbox 720 solution.

With malpractice, it depends how you define it. I'm thinking along the lines of the thread topic related to credit card details which I don't see as being malicious.

That's just my mindset, please forgive me.
