Interesting that he had far more trouble with the keys than actually solving the puzzles. Where is your family from? There is a strange mix in both your accents.

Yeah, I guess people from an older generation aren't used to the standard FPS controls you find these days. Mind you, this is the second 3D game he's played in his life, the other was Doom 1.

Both my parents grew up in Australia. They moved to Switzerland at some point and tried to learn British English for Business purposes. I used to talk like the queen of England when I was younger, but was later influence by all kinds of accents, so I guess my accent today is a little undefinable.

Interesting vid. Well, glad he's hooked. It's a good game to get hooked on, he's still got the second one to play through yet.

I think it depends of course, my dad is a COD gamer, saying that, it's COD on the console, though he used to play COD2 on the PC to be fair to him. Prior to that he was all about the flights sims and flying games, probably a habit picked up from the Air Force. We got him Hawx and Hawx 2, which he seemed to enjoy. Oh and Elite, I can remember him playing that a lot when I was a wee one. And Gunship 2000.

I should probably tell him they're releasing another Elite game.

Also, bear in mind, some of the 'older' generation browse these forums.
