It's the time of year again. The internet usually comes up with some interesting attempts. Don't think Google or YouTube have theirs up yet.

Not sure if I'm going to attempt any myself, I'm not a good practical joker, the best I was able to pull off was convincing people I was converting to Scientology.

Anyway, I loaded up Guild Wars 2 and thought this was a nice touch. The game title music was 8 bit and then when I went to open a chest I found a load of 8-bit monkeys jumped out.

Anybody tried (or seen) anything interesting this year?

[edit]
Found the above is an event running from April 1st.

Soundcloud put this up on their blog, pretty sure it's an April Fools joke! At least, I hope so...

Yeah, I need to figure out where I need to go to play it. I only bought GW2 the other day so I am getting used to it. Still I've been collecting baubles from the 8-bit monsters, I'm sure they've got to be useful for something.

Awesome.

Did she throttle you when you told her the date? Or are you still playing the joke?

You need to go to Rata Sum. If you go back to your starting city and go through the purple Asura gate, that will take you to Lions Arch. From there you can take another Asura gate to Rata Sum and the Super Adventure Box will be right in front of you (if you can see it through the crowd of people standing around it).

Currently everything on the ThinkGeek homepage is an april fools joke.

I wish some of that stuff was real though.

DeviantHeart is a funny one, as a user of the site.

That and the page itself is pretty cute. :3

Even though it's pretty obvious, I thought what Wolfire did is hilarious.

Cheers.

I decided to record a video of this April fools malarkey.

Video's a bit dark, but YouTube is currently applying extra brightness to the video, so it should be normal soon.

At first, I thought slashdot's joke was legit. I was like wtf man! Then it hit me. Although, it's getting kind of annoying having to translate everything.
