Hi guys,

recently took up C++ Development after years of web development.

I am having a real hard time getting set up using AppGameKit in Tier 2, c++ Express 2010.

I am using the vs10 template included with the files as it goes along with the book I am using

I went into the template properties and changed the file links in the linker and C++ tab.

I get these two errors on debug of an empty program.

Any help is appreciated, really cant wait to get started

I don't have an answer here to your question as am about to move to AppGameKit with c++ from the next week. but I suggest that there should be a separate forum for AppGameKit with C++.

i think the template.h want include a file but it don't use a absolute path.
maybe look at the project options and verify the settings for include path.
also the c++ project template's can be outdated.

Pressure Designs, it appears that you are working in AppGameKit v1076.

Don't use the templates that came with your AppGameKit download, they are somewhat defective. And I have no idea what the template_vs9 is supposed to be doing.

This page has working templates for v1076. The Visual Studio templates are set up for VS 2010 Express and should work well (as long as you at least look at some of the instructions/information I put on that page).

Thank you for your answer, greatly appreciated and a fantastic resource.

I believe I have set it all up correctly with my C++ Additional include directories file link
"C:\Program Files (x86)\The Game Creators\AGKTrial\IDE\common\Include;%(AdditionalIncludeDirectories)"

And the linker
"C:\Program Files (x86)\The Game Creators\AGKTrial\IDE\platform\windows\Lib\VS2010\Debug\"

I believe the c++ additional section is correct as well as the linker as its correctly linking to the file but the items in the file are causing the errors. I could be wrong with that but thats my assumption.

Here are the errors.

Thanks in advance

If you are using the trial version, you cannot compile in anything but the AppGameKit IDE for Tier 1.

In order to use Tier 2, you must have purchased the full AGK.

I am assuming you are testing the trial version based on the path you show.
